Paxton Lynch is officially a bust now.

Yeah, I was wrong about him. If he can't beat Siemian...damn, that ain't good.

You never know, it took Rich Gannon 209 years to become pretty good.

That's not true, it was only 208
I haven't followed preseason at all, but I heard from someone I trust yesterday that Jared Goff has been looking like a completely different QB, and last season he was hopeless.
In all honesty Lynch shouldn't have come out early. I know why he did, and I might have done the same thing, but I just can't help but think how much better off he'd been with an extra year of seasoning. Then again, to go from someone who wouldn't have been recruited by anyone in the FCS at all if it hadn't been for a Memphis assistant noticing him at the last minute to a first round pick is already one hell of a journey.

I also don't think Lynch is in the best situation for a QB in Denver. Even with Elway running the show, the Broncos don't appear to be a particularly QB-friendly atmosphere. A change in scenery could do Paxton some good.

It can take time. Drew Brees didn't become Drew Brees until his fourth season---and Philip Rivers was drafted to compete with him. Obviously the Chargers thought there was a good chance Brees wasn't going to pan out going into 2004.
