Partial rebuild
I’m convinced the reason we keep failing forward is the partial rebuild. We never fire the entire staff associated with the team. Fire a coach keep a gm. Fire a GM, keep the coach. The team has a history of failing now. Those failures continue because the cancer of losing is never stricken from the team. Can’t win if coaches have learned to fail. A new GM comes in and gets a failing coaches opinion on players. There’s no clean break so there’s no clear impartiality to the current players ability. Next rebuild needs to be everyone including the grounds keeper!

Amen - fire everyone, hire a competent GM (I make it sound so easy), get out of the way. That's the way to do it.

We also need a competent head coach. We keep hiring guys that have never been head coaches before and have to learn on the job. That may work for other teams, but it hasn't worked for the Dolphins. Time to do something different.
And one of the biggest issues is that we seem to have essentially the same scouting department we've had for years, and they can't evaluate talent worth a damn. Hell, Chris Grier is our GM, and he's been part of that crappy scouting staff for ages now! Until the drafting improves drastically, we're always going to have a poor roster.

I am back online after being away for a week. What a week I missed!
I agree that we will need to tear the whole thing down and rebuild. However, let's remember that Gase is on a 5 year deal. He will get at least one more year, and depending on how next season goes, he could easily coach for the entire contract.
Ross, IMO, won't push for front office changes while Gase is still here.
No. I think we are going to watch this regime ride or die, for at least two more years after this one.

He gonna give Gase another year or two before he gets replaced. IMO Ross will never do a full rebuild.

Fixed it for you. We ain't riding anywhere but to the cellar as long as this front office and coaching staff remain in place.
