Game of Thrones

Post by JMP on Fri Apr 10, 2015 9:33 am

New Game of Thrones season starts Sunday! Anyone else a fan?

The book series is among my favorite writing of all time. The TV series is very, very well done...excellent writing and acting, and the scenery and costumes are top notch.

Can't wait!

Let's see where it goes this year. I know this season is going to really depart from the books.

I don't think Jon Snow is truly gone.

Haven't watched the finale yet, but holy shit the battle sequence in the previous episode was beyond epic!  Has to be the best battle scene ever...totally intense and realistic.

I didn't know what to expect this season, but it was absolutely amazing.  TV doesn't get much better.

The last two episodes of Season 6 MIGHT be the best two episodes ever.

My favorite so far had been the trial by combat where the Red Viper of Dorn fought the Mountain.

Season 6 was the best season yet IMHO.

Made up for Season 5's draggy parts at least. One more boring arse episode about Mereen's internal politics and I would have barfed profusely!

I got talked into buying Season 1 on DVD. Watched the first four episodes and got up and drove to Walmart and bought Season 2 thru 4, which had just come out.

Binge watched them in order to be ready to watch Season 5 which was just about to start.

Been hooked ever since. I started reading the first book awhile back.

Yeah, the last two episodes were killer - intense, non-stop action.  I agree - 6 was the best season yet.

The books are amazing.  Really an impressive job of keeping such a vast, wide-spread storyline intact.  There's often too many characters and plots going on at once...hard to keep track.  But it's all so good that I don't mind!

Been a busy summer, so I haven't started the new season yet. But I do plan on binge watching it soon!

I wish I would have binged watch season 7. I binged 1-6 and loved it. We had to watch each episode for season 7 because my wife's coworkers talk about the show too much to avoid spoilers.
