A few questions for you guys...
1. Why did we draft DeVante Parker? 4 snaps in 2 games, and his one catch was for...3 yards.
2. Why did we trade a 3rd round pick for Kenny Stills? Matthews looks like a stud, and Stills is pretty much the invisible man.
3. When the dust settles on this season, will we be talking about Suh as the next Albert Haynesworth? After two games, it sure is heading in that direction.

1. Parker is a rookie, and he missed all that time in camp, so Philbin won't want him in the lineup, because Philbin's a fucking dinosaur coach.
2. Stills was a panic move after dumping Wallace.
3. I think Suh will settle in just fine and be an anchor for the team when we have a different DC and HC.

Agree with Degarmo.
This staff is broken. Only players with superior talent even have a chance to succeed within the schemes and game plans. Suh is too easily double teamed, Coyle has no answer how to play off of something like that.
We need a new coach. Period.

The sad thing is that Suh faced single coverage a lot yesterday, maybe even the majority of the time, and he was still a non-factor. As I said when he was signed, he's just a DT. Even is he does his job well, the other D-linemen and LBs need to make plays. But this season, Suh hasn't played well, and the players around him haven't done a damn thing. And Coyle continues to run the same crap over and over without success. It's mind-boggling how you can add a player like Suh to your defense, and actually get worse.
Re: A few questions for you guys...
Paying a DT that much only shows that this team is still stuck in outdated, antiquated, Parcellsian thinking. Well, except for the newfangled backwards passing offense. I guess Lazor's an existentialist and figures that since everything comes full circle then designing plays far enough behind the LOS will eventually result in massively huge gains, or something.

I understand the signing of Suh. We were allowing teams to run over us when they got a lead last year. Suh was supposed to reverse that. He was also supposed to apply pressure up the middle to flush the QB to the DE. None of which is happening.
The problem is the offensive line. The line that was so mismatched in training camp that the defense had to tone it down. If our team wants to have a dominating defensive game all it needs to do is play our offense!

Exactly. No effort was made to upgrade the line, even when it was painfully obvious that Dallas Thomas is not an NFL player and there is no depth.
Then again, it was painfully obvious that Coyle is not a coordinator and Philbin is not a HC too, but enough said about these points.

its as if nothing has changed with this team. they are exactly who they have always been. its just the continuation of mediocrity that has been established by building a team through over-priced FAs and underwhelming drafts and then having them (un)coordinated by indecisive and timid coaching.

One of my friends at work just called and asked I wanted to buy his extra ticket to Fins at Jets. No way No how. I'm done with this pitiful depressing team.

You made the right call. Spend money on this suck-ass team? Hell no!
Re: A few questions for you guys...
There is no way to grade the players on this roster due to the poor coaching and game planning of this team. We might have a solid roster but there's no way to tell. Suh is an example of what happens to future hall of fame players when they are paired with poor coaching. It's remarkable that Tannehill was able to throw for 359 yards and 2 touchdowns considering he was harassed on almost 50% of the plays. Devante Parker/ Rishard Matthews. Matthews isn't even named a starter. He was the best in preseason last year and this year. Where do the coaches want to put him? DeVante Parker should see more playing time but with this staff his future is in jeopardy. Suh, hall of fame to hall of shame. Football is a game of chess and our coaches only know checkers. Same field wrong moves!

At this point the Fins should seriously be paying the fans. No, I'm not joking. It wouldn't be that much obviously, but, say, $10-20 per fan would still be better than nothing.

I agree with all three. The coaching staff needs to be changed if Miami is going to be great.
