So we got one sorry ass Ol man (Thomas), a suspended bust (Jordan ), an ok TE in Simms, a ST DB (jones, is he still on the team?). Is this worse than what Hickey has give. Us? Regardless, it s all shit. No matter, the level of shit. Shit is still shit. It all smells, just to what level of stink.

Even *I* didn't realize the '13 draft was THAT bad Shocked This is "possible worst draft in team history" level awfulness. Definitely in the top 5 worst, if not top 3.

Ireland did badly enough when he tried, but this draft makes it seem like he knew he'd be gone sooner than later and was phoning it in.

You bout Hickey last year drafting all those small college nobodies. The best of the log may be Walt Aikens, who, somehow, people kinda liked. I never saw anything from him from day one. Saying he is the best is not saying much when he pretty much totally sucks. What does that say about the other Hall of Famers from that draft?

Jenkins is the best player of the bunch so far.

The 2013 draft is definitely looking "bottom 5 in team history" so far, no question. I still think 2006 was the worst, but 1999 and 1984 were stunningly lacking in value as well.

After a quick check, this draft looks bad even in comparison to those. Bud Brown from the '84 draft managed 5 INTs. Taylor, Davis and Jones have yet to record a single one between them--and now it looks as if they never will.

Even Jason Allen, as horrific as that pick was, somehow had 15 career picks, and even led the Fins in INT in '10 I believe. That's a Hall Of Fame career compared to Taylor and Davis. And three other players from that draft actually managed to hang around the league for years afterwards.

Even the '99 draft had three players who stuck around at least five seasons.

So yeah, compared to those drafts this one still comes out looking rotten. Jenkins is the only player I can even see being on an NFL roster three years from now, let alone five. Literally any of us could've had a better draft than that just by picking random names out of a hat.

We all talk about how bad the Phins draft, but the main point seems to be, there is not one IMPACT PLAYER drafted by the Phins in years IMO.

About the best we have been able to HOPE for is to get a starter who does not STINK UNMERCIFULLY to the point your eyes water every time anyone mentions his name!

You would think, at some point, the Drunken Monkeys would fling a draft dart into an IMPACT PLAYER BY ACCIDENT!!!!

They did. His name is Jarvis Landry, and he would be an impact player if not for the Lazor Backwards Offense screwing him up. Even with that handicap he's still clearly the Fins' best draft pick in years by far.

I really believe that Ireland was trying to do something good even though most of it came out badly. Ireland has to be one of Miami worst GM in the history. I am waiting to see if Tannenbaum will be around next year or is the whole front office ass out.

I don't feel like Ross has the nuts to fire everyone. I think Tannenbaum is his guy and he's going to let him run the show. I also would not be surprised in the least if Hickey stays and the front office is kept as is, because they will tell themselves, and everyone else, that they're just getting started on their plan and they believe in their last draft and all that shit people say when they're trying to bullshit their way into keeping their jobs.

Maybe Tannenbaum will go spend the future's money on Drew Brees and Sean Payton and we can all face-desk until we pass out.

Brees and Payton?

Hell sign me up right now, how can it be worse than watching this horrible offense led by Hennehill.

hmm...

A chimp throwing darts at pictures of potential picks could land at least one great player given that many high selections.

I'm sick of the Dolphins. Even after a win we're still talking about the same old shit. How long have we been talking QBs and offensive line now, 15 years?

It might happen, particularly if NO is going to start rebuilding. They'll see a 36-year-old QB and decide to unload that contract.

Sold. Bring in Payton and Brees, give the Saints whatever draft pick / player compensation it takes, dump Tannehill and start planning to draft a replacement to groom behind Brees.

We've executed on far worse plans than that. The results speak for themselves.

There is precedent for a deal like this, we pulled off a trade with the Saints just last offseason for Stills, so a relationship between the front office execs does exist.

Well, you know who the next GM of the Saints is rumored to be, right?

None other than Jeff Ireland.

Maybe we could trade them Tannehill.

Perfect.

If our luck continues to hold, Ireland will build a perennial contender in New Orleans and win a Superbowl as GM there.

We will have served as his training ground.

Someone write it down, it's almost bound to happen and I want credit for calling it now even before he's hired.

I believe he's already in their system as the Director of Scouting.

Wouldn't it be the ultimate irony that, after passing on him twice, the Fins finally get Brees just as he hits the "crash and burn decline" stage of his career?

Hell, that practically makes it a done deal! Laughing

Oh yeah, and the Ireland thing would be ironic too Cool

Ah, so THAT explains why they've suddenly sucked the past two seasons. I knew there had to be a logical explanation.
