Pro Bowl players announced - guess who didn't get selected...

Guess which Dolphin didn't make the Pro Bowl...I'll give you 114,375,000 guesses...come on...

That's right, Ndamukong Suh - the player the Dolphins made the highest paid defensive player ever, who was supposed to make the Miami defense the best in the league - did not make the Pro Bowl.

Now, I happen to think the Pro Bowl is a joke and is completely meaningless these days, and I really don't care who makes it and who doesn't. But I think it's hilarious that the so-called best defensive tackle in the game didn't get selected (he made the Pro Bowl in 2010 and 2012-2014, as FYI). This is just so Dolphins!

Of course, half of the players that were selected will drop out with "injuries" (ha!), so if Suh wants to play I'm sure they'll eventually get around to adding him.

(For those that care, only one Dolphin got selected: Mike Pouncey.)

Oh yeah...and Reshad Jones, who has been lobbying to be a Pro Bowler since last season ended, didn't make it either. He's had a great season, but I am so tired of all the self-serving "I'm the best safety in the league" crap he's been spewing all season. It sounds foolish when you're playing on a garbage team.

WOW...if one player on this team deserved to make it, it was Jones. SMH

Oh well. Like Jmp said, it's literally meaningless, more so than ever now.

Jones getting toasted by ODB on national TV a couple of weeks ago may have played a role in him getting snubbed. Not too many people watch the Dolphins (aside from stupid Dolfans like me), and if their first real exposure to Jones was seeing him get torched, well, that might explain it. He's very much an all or nothing type of player, but I thought he would have made the Pro Bowl on stats alone. Oh well...I'm sure he'll get to play when everyone in front of him drops out.

Yes, the Suh move never made sense to me, and it still does not.

Even for a team that was ONE DT away from the Super Bowl, you would have to think long and hard about paying that much money to ONE PLAYER, who can easily be negated by a double team.

But for the Phins to pay that much for him, it was almost like saying "Screw it! Let's sign Suh and see if we can get our ticket sales up!!"

I HOPE we can stop with these dumbarsed free agent moves, but knowing Tannenbaum, I think not.

Pouncey making it is a total joke. A reputation pick. My question, why is his reputation so good? To me, he is a decent player. I have not seen consistent greatness from him. More times than not, I see a jag.

Jones not making it is a surprise to me. He has made more plays this year than I can remember a Dolphin player in years. All the highlight reel material he put up this year should have made him a shoe in.

My problem with him is, being the last line of defense, is how do you justify all the terrible long passes against us all year long? Yes, he has made so many great plays, but how many has he prevented.

I think our MVP is a three way toss up between Landry. Jones and Miller. Lamar would probably get it if he had just been used more in games where he was producing. Landry had put up lots of catches, but the damn dink and dunk shit keeps his yardage down.

Yeah, all the praise and accolades Pouncey gets really doesn't make sense to me. He's been on a steady decline since his rookie year IMO, and at this stage I'd call him average.

Dolphins MVP? I'd go Miller on offense and Jones on D. I can't give it to Landry - the way he's used, he's just a short-yardage possession receiver. He has a ton of catches, but many were less than 5 yards.

Plus, 3 safety's in consecutive weeks, due to center snap issues. Not exactly Pro Bowl material.

Dallas Thomas totally got snubbed in the voting. Now that's the REAL injustice.
