JMP round one mock draft 3.0 Empty JMP round one mock draft 3.0

Here's my third (and probably final) first round mock draft. Note that I knocked Shane Ray out of the first, dropped Randy Gregory to the end, and moved Bud Dupree way up.

A few other changes as well - most notably the Phins taking Eric Kendricks. With Ray and Gregory out of the top 13, someone had to move up...for me, it's Trae Waynes and Dupree. So, that leaves the Phins with Kendricks or Melvin Gordon as the choices for me. I chose the MLB, but it wouldn't surprise me if Gordon was the pick in this scenario.

1 Tampa Bay Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
2 Tennessee Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
3 Jacksonville Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida
4 Oakland Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
5 Washington Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson
6 New York Jets Alvin "Bud" Dupree, LB, Kentucky
7 Chicago Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
8 Atlanta Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
9 New York Giants Leonard Williams, DL, USC
10 St. Louis Kevin White, WR, West Virginia
11 Minnesota Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
12 Cleveland Devante Parker, WR, Louisville
13 New Orleans Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
14 Miami Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA
15 San Francisco Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
16 Houston Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
17 San Diego Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
18 Kansas City D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida
19 Cleveland Jordan Phillips, DT, Oklahoma
20 Philadelphia Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
21 Cincinnati Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest
22 Pittsburgh Landon Collins, S, Alabama
23 Detroit Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
24 Arizona Arik Armstead, DL, Oregon
25 Carolina La'El Collins, OL, LSU
26 Baltimore T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh
27 Dallas Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, Nebraska
28 Denver Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota
29 Indianapolis Denzel Perryman, LB, Miami
30 Green Bay Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State
31 New Orleans Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State
32 New England Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State

I have no idea who Eric Kendricks even is, so I'm already calling him a bust Laughing

Not watching college football for 3-4 years will do that to a person.

I'd prefer Gordon or even Malcom Brown to Kendicks but I wouldn't complain if Kendicks is the pick.

I would actually prefer Gordon as well, but I just have a feeling the Phins would take Kendricks if the draft plays out the way I have it. I'm personally not sold on Kendricks at all, but given the sorry state of our LB corps I'd be willing to give him a chance.

OK, thanks to La'el Collins, here is mock draft 4.0. And yes, I'm buying into the stories that the Saints want Bryce Petty...

Even though I only got 5 picks correct, I think this was my best mock draft ever. 15 of my top 17 players were drafted in the first round, most fairly close to where I had them slotted. My mock was pretty disastrous after pick 17, since there were a bunch of players chosen that I had marked as second rounders. But overall I'm happy with it.

Don't feel bad, I heard there were only about 16 players even graded as first rounders by most teams.
