In the Blizzard Empty In the Blizzard

Post by scotgif Fri Jan 22, 2016 7:51 pm

To all my fellow long-suffering Fin Fans, please wish me well as I try and endure "Blizzard Jonas". Since when did they name blizzards? Being s life-long Floridian, now in MD. (DC area), I hav been through many hurricanes. Never anything as drastic as this. My work closed early today and will most likely be closed tomorrow, so a couple extra days off after just returning from SoFla vacation. I know one of the other members here is from this area (can't remember who). At bar now getting my pre-blizzard 12 oz curls in. Got some cold beer at home, so I should be set.

I got a light dusting. Was actually very disappointed. Then again I live in this weird zone where severe weather hits everywhere around except here.

Media hype. They are saying we could get 2 feet and worst ever in NJ. Every storm they make it worse and worse. I have my pick up to get the family to work and I'm making chicken parm and have plenty of Beach Haus Beer.

Snow just started falling here on Long Island. No idea what to expect, but the snow blower is gassed up and ready to go, the beer is in the fridge, and I'm as ready as I can be. Snow sucks.

Yep ...we have about 12-15 inches already. I'm about to head out for the first time with the snowblower...I put it off as long as I could!

I am seriously jealous of you guys because I love snow and barely get any where I live (sighs).

Although 3-4 feet does seem like a tad much.

No snow here. I continue to be sad about it Crying or Very sad

But then I think about the Pats losing and I'm willing to overlook it. This time.
