Really no road games I want to go see. I'm pretty sure I'll get free tickets to the Bengals game and I'm only 30 minutes away, but I hate the city of Cincinnati so much I doubt I go.

I seen some of the teams Miami are suppose to be playing and if Gase is as good as he suppose to be then Miami might make it to the playoffs

Some guys at work are cardinals fans depending on timing I may be in Miami for that one.
Only attended one other game - a 10-6 victory over buffalo back in 97 or 98? I'm too old to remember

Yes that's it! Tense defensive game but I was happy to see a win.
Just saw our schedule - highly likely we start 0-2 even if we are playing better than last years team. Road games against Seahawks then pats even one win would be really impressive

Looks like a brutal schedule, but then again, with this Dolphins team any schedule would look brutal!
What the hell is with back-to-back West Coast games on Nov. 13 and 20??? At Chargers and at Rams...that's a lot of travel.

Re: Schedule coming out Tonight
Apparently the Phins wanted the back-to-back West Coast games so they could stay in California rather than traveling twice. Seems strange to me...these players are creatures of habit, and messing up their schedule for two consecutive weeks could backfire.

I hope that works out for you but modern America is so anti-union that you'll need a backup plan if (more likely when) it doesn't. I keep waiting for this refusal to pay workers across the board more than the absolute bare minimum to have severe consequences but so far all these billion dollar corporations keep getting away with it.

I'll post a rant of my hatred for Cincinnati when I have more time. But I'll give you a preview. I hate Cincinnati so much that when I do go to a Reds game I park at Hooters in Kentucky and a take the party boat to the game. Anyway I got an email last night that said I'm going to the game whether I like it or not.

They'll stay in California according to Omar. Anyway it looks like a 2-6 start to ruin my favorite time of the year.

They have that 4 game home stand with a Bye after the 3rd Straight Home Game, I'm not sure that I have seen a Team have that before. They need to learn how to win in there own stadium, Playoff Teams lose maybe one Home game during the Season, We have a Hard time just going .500 at home.

Re: Schedule coming out Tonight
The Dolphins asked the NFL to put them on the road early in the season so as to guarantee that the construction at their stadium, which will soon get a naming rights sponsor, would be complete and the season-opener in the new place could be an event. The NFL obviously granted that request.
Interestingly, the hot (humid) weather advantage the Dolphins have enjoyed in decades past when team visit Miami early in the season will not factor Week 1 or Week 2.

well Mr. Ross, you got what you wanted - you'll have your event. and you can stand there staring blankly at your empty seats cause nobody will give a shit about coming to see a road weary 0-2 team open against the hapless Browns.

Well you know that Ross was going to do that since the stadium is probably not going to be finished on time.

I dislike hot weather as much as anybody but if I owned a team that used it to their advantage I wouldn't go out of my way to have as few home games in September as possible. Yet more ammo for the conspiracy theory that Ross is just a Jets fan intent on destroying the Fins from within.
Lots of teams have had back to back games in the same state or area and elected to stay there the entire time in between, that's not really news. We all know the Fins aren't making the playoffs this season anyway, so what difference does the schedule make? They've had non-winning seasons with both hard and easy schedules lately. According to PFR, last season's schedule was actually the 8th EASIEST in team history, and they finished worse than when they had the two toughest in team history ('09-10). I don't remember anyone complaining about those schedules at the time. The one time I had an issue with the schedule was way back in '01 and '02 when somehow they were assigned two short weeks in a row (Monday night, then Sunday, then Saturday) late in each season. I do remember complaints about that, and justifiably so. But this is nothing. Hell, they opened the '10 season with back to back road games, won them both, and still finished 7-9. If anything, you'd rather play the Seahawks and Pats on the road right away as opposed to in December.

Re: Schedule coming out Tonight
BTW I have to say that scheduling 14 common opponents for all teams in a division is the one thing the NFL has gotten right. Makes tiebreakers a lot easier, and if a team can't win their division or make the playoffs they only have themselves to blame. Which is why I fully expect Badell to change the format any day now.
(FYI the '08 Fins lost both games they didn't have in common with the Pats, Jets and Bills. Didn't stop them from winning the division.)

Re: Schedule coming out Tonight
The thing that kills me is that everyone knows how hard it is to play in Seattle and also they never win in Pat nation. Ross is hoping that Miami is a good enough to win those games at home but I having a hard time believing that. I would use ever advantage that I could find.

Re: Schedule coming out Tonight
Chances are this team would've gone 0-2 playing pretty much anybody. That's ultimately my take. I just don't see a reason to get all wound up about this when there are so many other far more severe problems in today's world at large.

Kind of cool playing on Christmas Eve and New Years Day. Imagine if those games mean something.

Re: Schedule coming out Tonight
If the Fins lose to the Bengals you'll know they had a horrible season since the only two times they did in the last 38 years they finished 4-12 and 1-15.
Yes, that one was specifically for Bird
