Dolphins say they’re comfortable with running backs on roster

Smoke screen all the way....

Grier did add that the team would consider players at every position, however, and it seems likely that they’ll address the position at some point in the draft.

Either Grier is crazy or Miami don't want people to think that they going RB in the first round.

Oh man!! I can just see it now....

Elliot makes it to #13, but the Phins draft someone else!!!!

Oh the wailing, moaning, and lamentations THAT would bring!!

Very Happy

Well, it could be smokescreen, but then again, they may be "comfortable" with this group of RBs.

They do seem to be comfortable with what looks like a fairly weak bunch of Olinemen.

Get ready folks, a trade up for Elliott is now a stone cold mortal lock.

(Sighs.)

Might as well have Parcells back running things.

Absolutely.

Sure, the Phins are so comfortable with their current RB situation that they offered huge free agent deals to Lamar Miller and CJ Anderson, and made at least some attempt to sign Chris Johnson and James Starks.  2 of those players definitely would have been starters, and the other 2 probably would have been starters.

Basically, this statement from Grier translates to: "The Miami Dolphins think RB is a major need, and they are going to draft one - and probably pretty high."

But like FF said elsewhere (in much more eloquent terms), spending resources on a RB while Dallas Thomas is your starting guard is sort of like pissing in the wind.

Well I think I've made my disdain for Dallas Thomas known BUT when the OL was completely healthy Miami was 6-1 and Tannehill had a QBR of 107 AND the Dolphins ran the ball extremely well. OBVIOUSLY Thomas needs to go but Pouncey and Albert being human potato chips has hurt this team more than Dallas Thomas.
