Chris Foerster - Phins' OL coach Empty Chris Foerster - Phins' OL coach

Since this was mentioned in another thread, I thought I'd go back and find the stats I initially posted about Dolphins' new OL coach Chris Foerster.  Here they are:

Chris Foerster was Wanny's OC in 2004 when the Dolphins went 4-12 and ranked 28th in points and 29th in yards.  Note that he never got another job as an OC.

And:
--with Foerster as OL coach, the 49ers allowed 53 sacks this season, tied for 2nd most in the NFL.
--with Foerster as OL coach, the Redskins allowed 58 sacks last season, ranked 2nd most in the NFL.
---with Foerster as OL coach, the Redskins allowed 43 sacks in 2013, tied for 9th most in the NFL.

And, a re-post from Chris Kouffman on Twitter:

Chris Kouffman@ckparrot
Football Outsiders has data on 17 of the OLs that Foerster has coached. Average run block ranking #21, average pass block rank #20.

...

Seriously 26 of 34 rankings over the 17 years were bottom-half of the league. I've never seen results this consistently bad over so long.

So, yeah, there you go...

They've asked him to do that far too much.  It's an unreasonable expectation at this point, and if he gets pounded again, I'd let people go again.  Fix the fucking line.  It's not as hard as they're making it with poor choices, square-peg-round-hole position/scheme assignments, and a litany of garbage at the OL coach position.
