An emotional scene unfolded at Vikings practice on Tuesday when quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with a non-contact injury that ended practice after just 30 minutes. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, he was grabbing his left knee as teammates prayed around him.
Bridgewater was taken off the field in an ambulance, igniting the team's worst possible fears.

I thought the Vikes would make a serious run this season, but without Bridgewater they're done.  Shaun Hill is an excellent short-term backup, but a starter for a whole season?  Nope.

Not much out there for the Vikes to pick up at QB...maybe they look at Mark "Buttfumble" Sanchez????

WELL... the dude whose Youtube Madden franchises I've followed for 3 years is going to be really depressed now, seeing as he's a Vikings fan.

And everybody wants to ditch the preseason altogether without even noticing the irony.

Hell, I remember a couple of season-ending Fins' injuries happening in practice with no contact. Yatil Green, anyone? Then one year Brent Smith was lost for the season this way, as was Larry Izzo and JJ's Great White Hope at WR Larry Shannon. Players still haven't learned that when you put on too much muscle mass, the ligaments and tendons get overstrained and sometimes snap. You'd think this "sports science" I keep hearing about would realize that but apparently not.
