Pats' Mind Control Ray Still In Effect Empty Pats' Mind Control Ray Still In Effect

You know, the one that compels teams to just make random trdes with them for no good reason whatsoever.

First, they manage to palm off Bryan Stork to the Skins for a conditional pick--after announcing they were going to cut him outright. Stork then announces he's retiring, but changes his mind after finding this out.

Had Stork opted to retire, he would have been forced to give up half of his $477K signing bonus (~$238K), in addition to losing his 2016 salary of $600K.

Yeah, I would suddenly decide playing this season wasn't so bad after all too Laughing But after the season Storks is as good as gone, and the Pats still get a draft pick.

AND THEN...the Browns happily trade Barkevious Mingo to them for a mere 5th (he was a top 10 pick, remember).

Meanwhile, Tannenbaum is busy trading away 3 picks for one player and pretending the compensatory picks next year (which will be much lower than everyone thinks because it's the Fins, not the Pats who somehow get great comp picks every year) will make up for it Rolling Eyes

EDIT: The Pats' attempt to snag yet another draft pick from another team for a player they were going to cut and who wanted to retire anyway failed. If you're going to cheat then at least be hardcore about it, this was just lame.
