Post by mercury22nathan on Fri Oct 21, 2016 9:04 am

the kick to Roethlisberger's knee was pretty obvious.

He try to make it look like he was stepping over to get him but it was more of a kick. getting held like that he might get away with it.

That's obvious.

Several repeat offenses.  If I were the league, I'd give him the remainder of the season to think about it.

This is what we paid for, a dominant psychopath on the field who's disinterested in being a leader OR in staying within a defined role on defense.

Looks to me like Suh clearly kicked him. It's certainly not the first time he's done something like this. He's a dirty player, no question.

Also looks to me like Suh is having his worst season in the NFL. He's been a non-factor this season.

Meh. Obvious kick but I heard Burfict did far worse and didn't get suspended. Badell's scared to suspend anybody now lest every player on every team kneels for the anthem, or something Rolling Eyes

I definitely expected a fine. Then again, this is the NFL...if wife beaters get a free pass, I suppose a psychopath with a long history of playing dirty can too. Rolling Eyes

I kinda me how they are treating the Josh Brown situation, especially since the Giants are supporting him. He should have been suspended indefinitely since he confessed

Goodell doesn't know his ass from third base anymore. He lost all those arbitration meetings, finally "won" one with Tom Brady, and now he has no idea what constitutes an infraction anymore. If I'm him, I'm creating a wall between me and the punishment; let head of player personnel handle it in its entirety.

Goodell is treading a very dangerous path with the way he treats players that beat up women. A slap on the wrist just isn't good enough...not when a guy that takes medicinal marijuana under doctors orders gets a 4-game suspension. He's digging his own grave.

It's his own fault.  Covering up the Ray Rice thing, then pretending they didn't, inconsistencies in punishments, all those overturned suspensions . . . if the NFL weren't a monetary juggernaut, he'd have been ousted a couple years back.  Owners don't give a shit about character though, until it starts impacting their bottom line, and you're starting to see that now.

They're blaming TV ratings on the presidential debates, kneeling before the anthem (completely overblown), and anything else they can think of other than facing the fact that the NFL has a multi-faceted problem.  It all starts, however, with the shitheads on the field.  The NFL image is starting to feel like the NBA circa early 1990s.

Blaming it on the election is beyond ludicrous. Has the NFL lost ratings to any presidential debate in the past 50 years? I don't think so. And besides, do any of you actually know anybody who's watching that garbage? Again, I don't think so.

HOWEVER...the anthem thing is the final straw for a lot of people. It's not just me, oh no. Far FAR from it.

It all starts, however, with the shitheads on the field.  The NFL image is starting to feel like the NBA circa early 1990s.

Now THIS we can agree on. You gotta love how the Players' Association is united in their adamant, vehement support of its members to commit any felony they desire, yet it's members are cheap-shotting each other on the field left and right. And nobody even sees the irony, or the hypocrisy, let alone the sheer absurdity Evil or Very Mad

OH how I long for the days when the players were allowed to settle things like men (sighs). The problem of course is that almost none of today's players act like men.

Exactly, Josh Brown should be getting the same treatment that Ray Rice is getting right now.

Really, who the hell cares about that. Suh get a little dirty and nothing happens means that Goodell doesn't have time to deal with little issue like that. The NFL is a tough sport get over it Steelers.

I am now not only predicting, but GUARANTEEING that the NFL will suddenly and retroactively decide to suspend Suh for The Kick if the Fins beat the Jets. If they lose, then Suh will go on facing no penalty.

Yeah, pretty much.

You see, if the Fins beat the Jets then Badell will start viewing them as a threat to his manhood and act accordingly.
