If the playoffs started today
Miami would be the seventh seed and out of the playoffs. Miami will have to win the next six out of seven games to make the playoffs, Especially since Miami lost to the Titans. Which means that Miami will have to beat the Ravens keep the Titans from making the playoffs. Miami next two games are going to be a toss up if Miami looks at this game as easy. IMO, it going to be one of those games exactly how the Charger game went if those are the same officials. A lot of penalties called on Miami and a lot of sacks from the DL.

Re: If the playoffs started today
We survived against an excellent Chargers team with an explosive offense.
Now, we need to survive against a Rams team that brings a beast of a defense.
Our defense is a big key. The Rams offense can be shut down, and they have been shut down a number of times including yesterday against the Jets, who brought zero offense to the game. Our defense has to play to their fullest potential. No easy penalties giving up first downs, have to get pressure on the QB, have to stop the run (Gurley).
Our offense could be in for a long day. Will try to run the ball, as we've seen, but the Rams have the defense to shut it down. Need to make some big plays over the top like we did yesterday.

Re: If the playoffs started today
I am not worried about the Rams game at all. Yes, they have a very good defense - but so did the Jets and Bills, and we took care of them. No team can stop our running game right now, and keeping the OL healthy is the key to the remainder of the season.
I'm also not worried about the 49ers the following week. I fully expect the Phins to be 7-4 after that game.
As far as the playoffs, it's way too soon to worry about that. Right now, the Phins just have to take care of their own business.

There's no way the Raiders, Broncos and Chiefs are all going 11-5 or better. It's a stretch to think all three would be at least 10-6.
If the Fins lose just once more they're in. Maybe if they lose two more. And as watered down as the league's been this season they might even have a shot going into the finale at 9-6.

I am really hoping Albert can play this week with that wrist.
It's not a huge dropoff from Albert to Tunsil at left tackle, but it is measurable. The bigger dropoff IMO is Tunsil at LG vs Urbik. Tunsil is playing really well there, and Urbik just isn't of his caliber.

Agreed, but I think we can get by with Urbik. He's a solid, experienced veteran. It's a travesty that this coaching staff started Thomas and Turner over him early in the season - just completely stupid. I actually think Urbik's a better guard than Bushrod, who (along with James) seems to be the weakest link on the OL.
Next season, I'd look to keep Albert, Tunsil and Pouncey as starters and look to upgrade that right side.

I watched a lot of the highlights and Gurley wasn't in a lot of them. Not sure if they don't know how to use him or they don't trust them.

Hard for Gurley to do anything when they have such a crap passing game. Defenses just overload the box and he has nowhere to run. He's an excellent back but he needs some help.
Re: If the playoffs started today
The Rams have their own problems it seems.
