Both teams are playoff bound and only seeding on line. Do you play for the win or stay healthy? Happy New Years All. jocolor

We're already injured and fucked, go ahead and try to screw it up for the Pats, and go to Houston instead of Pittsburgh.

What a pathetic display of football on all aspects. The Fins are getting their asses handed to them.

At least they get the TD and ball back after the half. D needs some 3 and outs.

They are taking an ass beating at the moment. Miami needs to find themselves in this game and show that they deserve to be in the playoffs.

This is why Miami has not got rid of Matt Moore.

It is what it is. I say Miami forget about this loss and focus on the playoffs. Steelers are going to be a hard team to face with all the injuries that Miami have at the moment.

This loss just highlights the Dolphins season. Despite the 10 wins, this is a bad team. The one thing they have going for them is they sometimes make big plays at opportune times...but when they don't, they just don't have much going on. The defense is atrocious, and the offense is inconsistent. -17 on the season in point differential...that's not good, at all. They've made strides in many areas this season, but it remains a very flawed team that is still in a different galaxy than the Patriots.

Agreed JMP. This season has been a nice first step, but we've got a long way to go.

Gladly taking the 10-6. Definitely need to improve the depth everywhere next season, with LB probably the biggest priority.

But...still some football to be played. And who knows? Odds are against us winning at Pittsburgh, but stranger things have happened.

The back breaker was the Damien Williams fumble. We had momentum until we didn't.

The Steelers game is winnable...hell, we beat them once already. But against that offense, if we can't pressure Big Ben they could easily put up 35+ points against us. And I can't pick a Matt Moore-led team to win a playoff game on the road...just can't do it. Gotta ride the J-Train as far as it takes us and hope the defense can force a few turnovers.

Big difference between this Steelers game and the one we won convincingly.

We had Tannehill and Pouncey then.  We're likely without both now.

Steelers had Big Ben banged up then.  He's healthy now, and they pretty much rested everyone Sunday at Cleveland.

We're also missing both starting safeties now.  We had them for the first game.

Homefield then, at Pittsburgh now.

Even with all that, I think we could take Houston or Oakland this week.  Too bad we have the one matchup that we probably can't win.

No matter what happens, doesn't ruin a very promising first season for the Gase//Tanny combo.  I feel a lot better about our chances of building on this season than the one 8 years ago.

Exactly what I was thinking, Steelers have an easier Miami team to face this time around. Even if Maxwell, Jenkins, Mario Williams come back their D is not that strong.

Totally agree with this assessment. To build on that, the Pats are playing way better this season than they did last season, as was evidenced by their relatively quick playoff exit. They can go all the way this year (again), which SUCKS, but they are at that level.

I was encouraged by an article that I read over the holiday. The front office was aware going in we had flaws on this roster, and team insiders are rumored to have seen 2016 as year 1 in a 3 year program. Getting to the playoffs and 10 wins with this squad is nothing short of a phenomenal job by this coaching staff.

I am optimistic that using free agency and the draft, we can address MANY of the problems with this squad. Probably not all of them.

Getting the coach right is huge, though. Here's hoping that Joseph won't be leaving this offseason. On the upside, rumor has it Kacey Rodgers may be out in NY as penance for the poor season. He doesn't deserve to be fired, either - offense was the far bigger problem for the Jets this year. Would not be a bad idea to bring him back down to Miami if Joseph does leave us for a head coach job. Plus, Rodgers knows our division opponents very well and now has two years experience as a DC. Would not be a bad hire at all.

Yep, Landry needs to grow the hell up.  Enough with the penalties...no need for it.  You can be emotional without acting like an asshole and getting flagged.
