Miami picks at 22!!!!!!!!! UPDATE
So this is where they have Miami on CBSsports.com
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/nfl-mock-draft-colts-ravens-patriots-find-new-running-backs-in-first-round/
This is an interesting pick especially since Miami will be losing a DE next year.

Marshon Lattimore , CB, Ohio State: Miami has some young talent on the cornerback depth chart, but still plenty of question marks. Lattimore is built well for the position with the short-area burst and closing speed ideal for the position.

Picking all the way down at 25, I'd be tempted to look at a TE - either OJ Howard or David Njoku. I'd also look at a DE like Demarcus Walker or Taco Charlton.

I wish his last name was Taco. I would have gotten that jersey

Have to agree with JMP and at 25 those would probably be BPA.

I would love TE, DE, DT or even a G (if one is rated that high) at #25. DB is not a horrible choice, but I actually like Lippett, Howard, McCain and Maxwell. I think our secondary is towards the bottom of the "needs list".
Hell, if there's a great LB late in round one that would be another fine choice.

I don't like Lippett or Maxwell, and McCain is maddeningly inconsistent. And I'd love to add a big-time safety. But - with all the holes on this roster, something is going to have to take a backseat, and it just might be the secondary. I think TE, pass rush and LB are the priorities, but the smart move is to take the best players regardless of position, and let competition sort it out. I don't think there's any position I'd rule out, depending on how things fall in the draft.
Re: Miami picks at 22!!!!!!!!! UPDATE
I will agree we can upgrade over McCain, but I also think he will continue to grow. This staff is coaching players up, so it is realistic to expect improvement for the younger guys.
An upgrade at free safety next to Jones would be a very nice addition to our secondary, and I just read on Twitter that Matt Miller likes the FS/SS class in the draft this year.
For me, it's about relative roster strength. We have areas on this team that are raging dumpster fires. A place like the secondary with seasoned starters? Not so much a need.
In fact, if I'm in the room with Gase, Grier and Tannenbaum, I would be pounding on the table to double-down on the trenches. Get me two guards, one of which can swing over to Center, and get me another DT and DE. Retain Branch, cut Mario Williams. Then band-aid at linebacker, sign TE Bennett in free agency, sign Landry and Stills to extensions and let's roll with it.

Re: Miami picks at 22!!!!!!!!! UPDATE
I'd go all out for LB - no more band-aids. Get a legit MLB and a playmaking OLB. The position has been ignored for far too long.
As far as guard - it's clearly a need, but I want to see this team find a legit starting guard without having to use a high draft pick or spend millions of dollars. Way too many resources wasted on the OL already...time to put the scouts to work to find some diamonds in the rough.

I sick of all of the hybrid OL players they want to play two position. Miami needs to find players that play at one position and is good at what they do.

I'm so sick of watching bad LB play.

I have to agree. I don't remember the last time Miami picked a good LB. I just hoping that Tannebaum and Gase work together this off season. I don't feel like that was happening with the other GM/coaches that Miami has recently had

From everything I have read with this new staff, there is no longer any disconnect and Grier, Tannenbaum and Gase all on the same page. Now, talent evaluation remains a suspect question, but in retrospect, the 2015 draft is paying some dividends. Not "great", but definitely not horrible either.
On a related topic, have you guys been reading the backstory in Buffalo? They have some shady president pulling the strings and the GM sounds like a clueless stooge just waiting to take the fall for next year's poor record. Ugh. That was us two years ago. Glad that whole debacle is behind us.

Agreed. Barfalo sounds like a nuclear toxic dumpster fire!
Makes me real glad Miami is just a regular dumpster fire that has been extinguished for the time being; but could flame up again at any moment, depending upon the moves Tannenbaum makes.
Speaking of Mario Williams!!! The next time I tell you a player is done....mayhap you will listen to me. I do admit to thinking there may have been something with that whole "wrong scheme fit" for Williams in the Ryan defensive scheme, as some of you vociferously pointed out, but....
No more aging has-beens Tannebaum.
Get a young up and comer if you must, but let's let these old sleeping dogs lie or go somewhere else please!
I suspect Tannenbaum will do everything he can to trade up for a player most of us will think is an egregious mistake, but in the end be unable to trade up and trade down for a open pack of Bic Click-It pens!! And then draft an even bigger egregious mistake!!!
Can you tell I have ZERO confidence in Tannenbaum?

Reading the backstory on what is going on in Buffalo only makes Marrone look like a genius in retrospect. Now, he's got the job in Jacksonville with a decent roster and a clear power structure with Coughlin installed as EVP. He's got a young QB, two good receivers and some building blocks on defense also. Much higher chance of success than what he would have faced in Buffalo with the murky front office, and full blown QB controversy.

Re: Miami picks at 22!!!!!!!!! UPDATE
I'm a Dolphins fan, so it's fine with me...but still, it's too bad the Bills are such a mess. They really do have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, and it would be a quick fix if they had competent people running the show.
