Re: BAHAHAHAHA!!! Same Old Jets
Such a great story. It's nice to know that the Jets are still the Jets.
Re: BAHAHAHAHA!!! Same Old Jets
New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith was reprimanded by the organization Sunday for playing catch with a friend only two days after surgery to repair a fractured jaw, disobeying an edict to avoid physical activity.

The Jets' former starter, who was punched in the face last Tuesday in a locker room altercation with then-teammate IK Enemkpali, was photographed shirtless on Saturday by the New York Post. He was throwing to a friend at his apartment complex a few miles from the Jets' facility.
The newspaper said Smith was wearing eye black, which seemed odd, but they were actually bandages under each eye, according to the team.
Smith apparently didn't see anything wrong with his throwing session, telling the Post, "I feel great. You see me throwing, right? ... Get ready for me to come back."
The Jets weren't amused by Smith's unsupervised throwing session, summoning him to the facility on Sunday.
HAHAHA!

Re: BAHAHAHAHA!!! Same Old Jets
So apparently Smith was supposed to just lay around on the couch watching TV all day for 6 weeks or whatever?
I've got to be honest here, I genuinely feel bad for him. Imagine it's you whose jaw is broken by someone else in your workplace. Now imagine the guy being fired, but getting hired by a rival company just a day or two later, and not only that but everybody at your workplace and on the internet agreeing that you deserved it, while the other guy gets off scot free without even so much as being arrested. The Jets should be GLAD Smith is throwing a ball to ANYBODY instead of killing himself or coming to team HQ and shooting up the place. Which everybody seems to be hell-bent on driving him to do.
I found the situation itself hilarious at first, but now I find it disgusting, revolting and downright nauseating. Just another reason why I've watched my last NFL game. The way things are going, I'll be amazed if the NFL is even a thing in 10 years. Then again, I'll be amazed if America as we know it is still a thing in that time.
