Snake Oil Salesman JJ In The Hall Of Fame?!?!
Somehow for at least 15 years nobody thought his run with the Cowboys was good enough for induction but all of a sudden now it is?!?! Because his time with the Dolphins sure as hell wasn't HOF worthy!!!
You'll have to excuse me while I go barf up breakfast.

His 1992-1993 run with the Cowboys was simply amazing...but should two great seasons be enough to get in the Hall of Fame??? Seems odd, and yes, the timing is VERY strange. Why now, out of nowhere???

EXACTLY!!! For YEARS all I ever heard and read was that JJ wasn't worthy and shouldn't even be considered because that stint was just way too brief and he did nothing after that. He was put in the same category as Tom Flores and George Seifert. I am convinced this is being done now purely as yet another sports media slap in the face to the Fins. Probably to get some sort of "revenge" for basically ending the Patriots' dynasty once and for all.
If JJ gets in, then Zach DAMN well better get in too!!! All these coaches making it this year is getting me nervous...

I REALLY need to stop being such a petty human being sometimes and just let people enjoy their moments of happiness.

I actually love JJ. I'm a Canes fan, so he's a legend to me.
He built a top-notch defense for the Dolphins, never had a losing season with us, and put together a team that was good enough to go 11-5 in consecutive seasons with Dave "Porno-Stache" Wannstedt! Unfortunately, he was clueless with building an offense...but I have nothing bad to say about the man. I just don't think he's Hall of Fame worthy.

Yeah he did build a great D. I'm more pissed that when he left he stuck us with Wanny and the Cowboys trash which was the start of the decline.

Yep, that was the beginning of the end. Wannstedt tied his fate to Jay Fucking Fiedler and it was all downhill from there.

Happy for JJ, but have never been a big fan. Yeah, he did a great job keeping it running with the Hurricanes, but let's face it, he was there what Barry Switzer was at Dallas later. Howard Schnellenberger left him an embarrassment of riches, and the 'Canes were 0-3 in Bowl games from 1984-86 with what was likely the best team in the country in two of those years.
I've stated my beef with him post-Dolphins plenty of times; he advised Wayne to put Wanny in charge of everything, then turned around a year later and advised the Chargers to hire a GM first, THEN a coach. I mean, you should give your best possible advice to the man who actually paid you handsomely for four years--particularly when you checked out on the last of those four.
Can't say I hate Parcells; just bad luck that Huizenga felt he had to sell, otherwise Parcells would have stayed. Only thing he did that I truly hated was drafting Pat White with a 2nd round pick. Would we have had a better result if he stayed longer? Hard to say, but one thing is for sure, the result would not have been any worse than ending up with Joe freaking Philbin as HC.
