Happy 4th everyone!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable (and safe) 4th of July!

This'll likely be the last one, for several reasons.

I was being a bachelor all weekend. I had half my kids over and their families for dinner tonight. Tritip, salad, corn on the cob, beans, two types of baby potatoes, garlic bread, and capped it off with strawberry shortcake. Worked on the yard all weekend. Did a little metal detecting Friday night. All in all a good weekend!

They celebrated up here by starting two fires which burned some houses down. Gotta love people, they're just so amazing. It's like a tinderbox up in Northern Cali at this time of year, and we JUST HAD A DEVESTATING TWO YEARS OF FIRES, but hey, freedom isn't free, right?

By metal detecting, do you mean you listened to some new Swedish Power Metal bands? If so, I approve .

Honestly and all kidding aside, that weekend you had sounds great to me.

Better wear your mask at all times outside the house though, if you don't you're a murderer who's putting everyone's life at risk!

I do wear a mask, because I'm at high risk, and I'd prefer not to get sick.

I know, I'll register for the Communist Party immediately to ensure I get my I.D. badge to wear outside to keep society safe.

Yep, I still wear my mask every time I leave the house. I'm not taking any chances, even though we seem to have (at least for now) beaten COVID here on Long Island. I absolutely expect another surge by end of summer, because it seems like fewer and fewer people are taking precautions.
