Good - hold these players accountable. If you can't perform your job, GTFO. Grant is a great dude, but the bottom line is he had one job and he failed miserably at it this season.

We essentially gave him away for nothing, but I'm fine with that. We invested a lot in Waddle, let's let him earn his keep. Grant obviously couldn't do it.

But this won't even begin to solve anything. Who's going to return kicks and punts now, Waddle? Is anyone else even remotely being considered?

BTW this is the surest sign yet that Grier needs to go, as apparently now he can't even fleece teams anymore.

This is essentially the same sort of meaningless roster churn we've already seen on every other bad Fins team this century.

If players were really held accountable, half the team would be traded or cut by this time next week!

BTW who decided to overpay Grant to begin with, hmmm? I'll give you a hint, his last name rhymes with "tier".

Now when does Iggy get the boot? At least Grant served a role and was actually on the field...

Torn. Nothing in return. However, I think his time with the team had come to an end.

Too many drops as a receiver, and now the muffed punt.

He did win us some games with big returns, but I guess the downside was not worth the potential upside.

One step at a time. When your punt returner fumbles multiple times and doesn't contribute anything else, he needs to go.

Grant was going to be gone in the offseason anyway...he just got his pink slip a little early.

I totally forgot about his fumble VS the Bills. Probably because one fumble is easy to overlook in a 35-0 loss.

The crazy thing is, Grant never fumbled more than twice in each of the previous four seasons. Must be that bad coaching I keep being told about scratch

Oh well. He'll probably have a couple of TD returns now with the Bears, because that's how it usually works once a player gets free of this team's clutches.

Just think of all the draft capital we can garner by trading off all these "players". Grier must be creaming his pants thinking about the next guy he can draft with a major injury history.

Gotta admit...I still have nightmares about that gorgeous 50-yard bomb that Tua threw to Grant against the Bengals last season...which Grant (of course) dropped. That was Tua's best pass a pro...couldn't have been anymore perfect. Mad

Anyway, interestingly - we traded Grant for a 2023 6th, and the Pats just traded Stephon Gilmore (to the Panthers) for a 2023 6th. I know there are other factors involved, but it's crazy that those guys were traded for the same compensation!

Jakeem Grant, now on the Browns, apparently tore his Achilles today, ending his season if true. Terrible. I hate training camp injuries.
