game thread Dolphins-Falcons
Solid opening drive again. So far, so good. Tua looks sharp, just give him the opportunity to make plays

Moving the ball great, but these INT's are killers.
Still, the ability is there. Hell, let him make those mistakes this year and gain experience. I see playmaking ability here once he puts it together.
Naturally, everyone wants us to try and solve a problem that may not exist when we have so many actual problems that are clearly in evidence.

Crappy INT and now our K can't kick but if Ross is looking through his binoculars we have no RUNNING GAME and the D is bend and break.
Would be nice if out WR/TE could make the great catch and help Tua.

Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
I got home earlier than expected, so I'm watching the game. Ugly first half, filled with offensive mistakes and defensive ineptitude. Terrible endzone INT by Tua on a play where the receiver (Smythe) somehow wasn't even looking for the pass. The OL is absolutely brutal, with Jackson and Hunt in particular missing block after block, and a false start on Eich. The defense is a complete joke, giving up lots of chunk plays and not generating any real pressure. STs is a mess, with punt returner Holland calling a fair catch with lots of green in front of him, and Sanders getting a FG attempt blocked.
If you needed any evidence that the coaching staff is failing this team, it's evident today with all the sloppiness and mistakes. The Dolphins team looks completely lost. No identity whatsoever, and just a mess in all phases. It's really hard to watch.
The key to winning games is complementary football - all 3 phases must work together and support each other. Unfortunately, the Dolphins only know how to play uncomplementary football - the offense can't score, the defense can't get a stop or a turnover, special teams suck. 1-6 heading into the toughest game on the schedule.

Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
This is quickly becoming the worst defense I've ever seen. They literally get worse every game.
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
Great to see Robert Hunt blocking air as a blitzer ran right passed him. Completely clueless.
Tua is having a bad game, but goddamn, he has NO time to do anything with this OL.
And now STs gives up a huge return.
Like I said, uncomplementary football...D rolls over and allows an easy TD drive, O goes 3 and out, STs allows a big return. A recipe for losing.
Let Flores get one more week...no reason for the interim coach to have to lose his first game 50-0. But after Buffalo, make the change. No reason to continue with this bullshit.

Well here's to 6 losses in a row. Ross can dress as Ahab the whaler for Halloween cause the Dolphins blow!

I'm watching the Red Zone Channel now. I'll probably flip to the Dolphins game every now and then, but I'm not really paying attention anymore. Just a waste of time to watch this crap.
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
As for the rumors about the players quitting on Flores, I believe them

Dolphins on Red Zone, so I guess they did something good. Now, can they score?
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
TD Gesicki. I can't even get excited about it. I just don't even care.
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
Miami is lacking big play capability. We have a dink and dunk offense that needs the defense to keep it close so we have a chance at the end of a game. We need receivers that can stretch the field not stretch the bench.

Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons

Agreed, but there's no time to throw deep. Tua is running for his life all game. A 10-yard pass is a deep pass in this offense. Pathetic.
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
And another penalty on Austin Jackson, negating a first down. Just cut him already. Enough's enough.
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
To many damn penalties.

Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
It's mind-boggling how much we struggle against bad teams like the Colts, Jags, Falcons, etc. Shows just how bad we are. Pathetic.
Re: game thread Dolphins-Falcons
And Tua throws a horrifc INT after the OL gets completely blown up, and the Falcons have the ball deep in the red zone. Of course.
The Dolphins should just forfeit next week.
