To offset all the grumbling I've been doing lately just a little, here's something you might not know. Jaelan Phillips set a team record for most sacks by a rookie

Phillips started slowly, but really stepped up his game and finished strong. He's got a chance to be a special player, IMO.

Well... If Zach Tom turns out to be a long term O-lineman and Ezukanma fails to make it...

This will be one of those special blunders like when the Phins drafted Charles Harris instead of T J Watt!

The Phins have WAY TOO MANY of these blunders, but I was talking with a Steelers fan the other day and he thought the Steelers had drafted like crapola for a few years!

I said when they drafted Phillips that I would have drafted Rousseau instead, but... I did think if Phillips could avoid the injuries he had the bigger upside. Maybe Phillips will show us that upside this year. The Phins desperately need the defense to take a step up IMO. Better LB play would help, but the inability to get a pass rush without sending a DB and a LB is a big handicap.
