Good question. We'll see, but there's really no excuse for losing any of the final three games. We are the better team in all of those matchups, and need to get the job done. That said, with this defense any game can be a struggle.

Well, the fact they have TWO home games means MAYBE the HOME VERSION of the defense will show up.

I am somewhat encouraged by the fact they actually DID compete with the Bills just like in the first game. This time though, Josh Allen made the plays at the end of the game.

The Phins need to win the last three games. Assuming they can hold serve at home and somehow, someway, manage enough points on the road to outscore the Pats O... I am suspecting Belicheck will unveil some absolute Tua killer of a defense and the Phins playoff hopes will crash and burn on the cold snowy Foxboro field.

agreed. the defense needs to step up. and one of the best ways to help an ailing defense is to commit to the run.

Six times in the game, the Dolphins faced a 3rd down and three yards or less on a night they were dominating on the ground.

Only on the first (a successful third and one run by Alec Ingold) did the Dolphins run in that situation. (The Dolphins also converted their one fourth and 1 with a 3-yard run by Mostert.)

The Dolphins threw it five times on the other 3rd down plays and none were successful; three were incomplete passes by Tagovailoa, one was a sack, and another was a completed pass to Durham Smythe that lost two yards.

the Dolphins are lucky to still control their own destiny. now they need to control the game and not have to rely on a leaky defense to preserve a narrow victory - cause they more often than not will collapse.
