The Cowboys are in a state of flux at left guard. They don't seem to have any clue as to who is going to play the season there. scratch

SO...I got to thinking. If Connor Williams keeps wanting to do his SJW routine and not show up for work, why not trade him back to the Cowboys? To them at this time, he has real, actual value. I'm thinking a 3rd round pick. And Grier could even throw in Cedric Wilson while he's at it. I don't think they'll want him back but hey, it's worth a shot at least. The way I figure it, if Williams isn't going to play by his own choice anyway, then what's the difference if he's on this roster or not? Trading him would actually leave this team better off in terms of more cap space and something in return.

Connor Williams is going to be a Miami Dolphin for the next couple of years at least. There is no way they are trading their starting center at this point.

The holdout will be resolved, just as the many other current holdouts throughout the league will be resolved (except for maybe Saquon Barkley...)

I'd also add that we'd be lucky to get a 5th for Williams in a trade - no team is trading a 3rd for a center.

Williams wasn't a center until he came to Miami and it was suddenly somehow decided to make him one. In his four previous seasons he was...a left guard. A position his previous team is now having trouble filling.

It's a better idea than letting him hold out all through camp and getting nothing in return. He's only the starting center if he actually shows up. Just sayin'.

Yep, I know he was a guard before coming to the Dolphins. And the Dolphins made him into a better player at center than he ever was at guard. Regardless, his value to another team is no higher than a 5th round pick IMO.

I have not heard anything about Williams holding out through camp, and I highly doubt that will happen. As is usually the case in these OTA-holdout situations, I expect the issue to be resolved one way or another before camp begins.

Well... I think I have made my feelings about the Phins OLine known...

Trading away the second best Olineman is a bad move IMO.

IF...If the Oline is the cause of another lackluster season, I really think Grier's free pass needs to be snatched away and he needs to be kicked to the curb in a most unceremonious manner.
