Dear Giants - Run the Ball Empty Dear Giants - Run the Ball

You have it first and goal on the 5, needing a field goal to win. Go ahead and run the ball, make NE burn its last timeout and the 2-minute warning, and kick the field goal, leaving them with very little time left. Do not throw it three times.

What's that? Go fuck myself?

Duly noted.

The Patriots aren't that amazing of a team. This league just sucks right now. It should be a cakewalk to the title for them, and the final middle finger I'll need to join 316 in doing something else with my Sundays.

The NFL literally could not be doing a better job of trying to lose fans. I just cannot see how ANYBODY will care about them in 5 years, sheep or no sheep.

Saw the score BTW at the bottom of the screen while watching a replay of the UFC card I saw just last night on Fox because there's nothing else on. As soon as I saw the Giants were only up by 2 with 36 seconds left I knew the Pats had it in the bag. How sad is that?

I knew it was a Pats win when they refused to burn clock. Three straight passes. Even if Beckham catches that TD, the Pats would have had the 2:00 warning and a timeout to go down the field and score the inevitable TD. They had one choice, and that was to run the god damn ball. Any coach worth their salt would understand that. Nope, not gonna do it.

Watched the whole game, because I support the Giants who are my father's team.

We really have so little to bitch about, after beating the Pats twice in the Superbowl, hurting Brady deep in his heart not just once but twice.

Yesterday would have been sweet. But yes, McAdoo is way too cute with his pass-all-the-time offense. You're up, have field position, just sacked Brady for a fumble - run the ball? No, let's pass pass pass, and get sacked in the process lose field position and punt. Painful to watch, just painful.

And fuck Brady in his dumb face.

that was a catch in the endzone. I have seen that happen in many games and give it to the WR. For that fact that they were playing against the Pats they didn't give it to them.

I'm not so upset about the reversal on the catch, although my thoughts there are if you called it on the field, not enough evidence to reverse it. However, head of officiating was talking to the booth and agreed with reversal call, so that's hard to argue.

Giants have no one to blame - including the refs - except themselves.

As I have said many times, I'm so dumb. Looking at the 54 yarder I'm thinking to myself "Well, this isn't exactly a chip shot, and it's Giants stadium wind can be tricky. Maybe he will miss the kick."

Of course, it went right down the freaking center with room to spare. Fuck it. Just fuck it all. All of it.

Pats just lost an indispensable player in Edelman.  They won't be beating Cincy in the playoffs without him IMO.

Bottom line, Giants had them at 4th and 10 at the start of the drive. You have to get the stop there.

Yes.

Also, on the first play of that drive, Brady threw up what looked like a punt under heavy pressure. The ball fell right into Landon Collins lap, who apparently cannot catch. He dropped the easy INT, getting in the way of ARC who would have easily made the play, and hurt himself in the process.

Great draft pick, always nice to take a safety high in the draft that can't catch the ball. Collins officially landed on my shit list, will take something heroic to remove him.

I still can't get over McAdoo not running it. The football stupid is strong in this league.

I know Eli is deflecting blame, but I refuse to believe he's that dumb, considering he was smart enough to take the sack on third down by falling down in bounds instead of throwing it away.

I hate the rule, but it is what it is. The ball was coming out before he got the second foot down.

Yep, that was the game right there. I don't care about anything else that happened - no excuse for letting them convert a 4th and 10.

Say what you want, but the Patriots find ways to win. Their opponents find ways to lose. Every time. No
