Rishard Matthews! New deal?
I think we are all in violent agreement that Matthews was the most underutilized, unappreciated receiver on our roster the last couple years. It's like Lazor and/or Philbin personally hated him or something.
Perhaps Gase can see the talent, and can convince him he will be used properly.
If so, a good sign for these Tannenbaum-run Fins IMO:

Btw, no guarantee we will get him, of course. If another team views him as a #2 WR, may get more opportunity elsewhere. I think our top 2 are going to be Parker and Landry.

Lamar Miller says hi. Also, I don't know about 'violent". It's not as if we're all determined to march on team HQ with pitchforks, torches and a noose Although I'm sure a couple of you have at least entertained the thought

I'm just stunned by this. How can you expect to sign all your own free agents and still fill holes via free agency.

I'm stunned that you're stunned by the utter mindlessness of this organization at this point

Lol!
Imo it's much smarter to spend keeping your own talent than breaking the bank for cast offs from other teams.
Plugging holes is fine if you're paying modest money to journeymen. blue chip players will come from the draft

In theory you are correct but because of horrible drafts and free agent signings this team has to fill some holes through free agency.

Re: Rishard Matthews! New deal?
Talent-wise, we're three years from making any kind of a playoff push. Even if we get there, we're not going to make it all the way for at least three years, and that's hitting on all FAs and upper-round draft picks, plus a few gems.
We've got a lot of holes and as each year passes more open up.
This happens when you have terrible GMs.

I'm still waiting to approve of a rumored Dolphins move this offseason.
