Armando On Fire Today
Now he's saying the Fins should trade Wake--who's now 34 and coming off an ACL injury. Not only that, he seems to think somebody will just give the Fins a 2nd or 3rd round pick out of the goodness of their hearts
I may be the only one here who actually likes Armando but lately he seems to have come a bit unhinged. Or maybe he's just really bored seeing as there's no reason whatsoever for the draft not to be this weekend and yet it's not.

I may be wrong but in all the time Wake's been on the team I do not recall any article by anybody even suggesting he should be traded until now.

I like Armando too, but he's off his rocker with this one. Wake's value is at an all-time low. 34 years old, coming off an Achilles injury, final year of his contract at a hefty $8.3 million, one-dimensional at this stage of his career...if we got a 5th for him I'd do backflips. The time to trade him was 2 years ago, as some of us said at the time.
Re: Armando On Fire Today
There's definitely a chance to get a conditional 3rd round pick for Wake in NEXT years draft. I'd bet Indy would jump all over that.

I don't see it at all. Age + injury + salary = no chance, IMO.
Re: Armando On Fire Today
Salary is peanuts for an edge rusher. If it's worst case a 7th round pick that could be as high as a third it's very possible.

I would be ASTONISHED if anyone wanted Wake at the salary he is costing.
Heck, even the Phins wanted him to take a pay cut.
Yes, another player the Phins held onto for far too long.

Someone picked up Grimes why not try and trade for him. At least get a 4th round pick for him.

It's not his salary this year that's the issue...it's the guaranteed money in a multi-year deal that Wake and his agent will push for if he is traded. I don't think he's going to a new team and playing on a one-year deal.
