Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
BTW if I was running a team's draft I'd be making moves just like the Bills are. Just sayin'.

Hell yeah. That's the way to do it. Get as many picks as possible and then you have the flexibility to move around.
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Hey, this is my best mock in years! I think I usually get only two picks right, but so far I've got 3 1/2: Giants, Colts and Phins, and half-credit for Davenport going at 14.

I had a moment of trepidation, fear, and a smidge of PTSD when I heard Saban's love for Fitzpatrick, and I flashed back to Jason Allen.

The whole dilly dilly thing has run its course, and I think even Bud Light knows it.

Big difference, Saban actually coached Fitzpatrick in college. Saban seemed to be using his Dolphins tenure to pick players he couldn't get to come to LSU while he was there: Brown, Crowder, Allen, etc.

Cowboys annoying me by dragging this out as long as they can

Cowboys love stealing the spotlight, always!

And the Lions with the obligatory "what the fuck?!" pick of the first round. Another draft cliche.

Remember me saying I'd be in bed by now? Yeah, that's not happening. Not sleepy in the least. I decided I'd rather watch the draft then just lie in bed staring at darkness for the next 2-3 hours.

Say what you will about Saban, but he knows DBs. Minkah started 10 games as a true freshman, which is rare at 'bama. I think that speaks volumes to what type of player he is.
And yes - Saban's downfall in Miami was targeting the players he missed at 'bama. Jason Fucking Allen. Ugh.

Yep. Ragnow's a good player, but so many better players on the board. Terrible. If you want an interior lineman that badly, take Will Herrnandez!!
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
WTF... a run on centers??? Bengals take Price...amazing how many good players are being passed up.
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Billy Price??? Wasn't he that guy who had a couple of hit songs like "Nothing From Nothing" and "Will It Go 'Round in Circles" back in the 70s?
Oh wait, that was Billy Preston. Never mind...

Guess not...traded pick to Titans!
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
I know a Pats fan (he's cool in spite of that, trust me) who would love for them to take Jackson.

What I fear: the Patriots ending up with Evans and Rudolph. And yes, I think they'll get a better QB than Allen right there.

I have no idea what the Titans need or who they'd possibly be trading up for BTW, and I live 3 hours away.

That WOULD be their luck...
And as I typed that the Titans nabbed Evans. Thank God.

Pats to take Jackson??? That would be pretty crazy...not sure how I'd feel about that. I'm not the biggest Jackson fan, but in the right system he could be a major playmaker.
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Keep in mind Jimmy G was a late second rounder (62nd overall). Pats do not need to take a QB here.

Really, they need OL and defense. That should be where they go here.
