Fantasy Football 2018 - Dolfan Cave League is open!

What's up everyone!

It's that time of year again!  I will once again be doing the fantasy league for this site on Yahoo.  Like in the past, we will draft both offensive and defensive players.

The live draft is set for Friday August 31 at 9:00pm eastern.

I tweaked the scoring settings a bit, as usual. Nothing too major, but I did add points for kick and punt returns on special teams (1 point for 30 yards).

There are 6 slots available in the league. Since there's only 10 days left before the draft, I have made the league public...meaning that anyone can join.

Let's get as many Dolfan Cave members as possible!

I'd have to auto pick if I join. My daughter is so busy with sports it's hard to have a life right now.

I hear ya. But you can definitely auto pick. And if we end up with a small league (there's only 4 teams so far) you can still build a strong team after the draft.

Hey Degarmo - the autodraft gave you a damn good offensive team...you have a lot of work to do on defense, but definitely a strong offense.

Kev grabbed Drake...I was all set to take him with my next pick!

I auto picked, by accident as I was working and forgot about the draft. I have Cam Newton and Ben Rothelisberger. I hate both those guys, but good fantasy material. Well, maybe not Newton this year as he's "learning" a new offense.

I'm pretty good with the defensive side of the ball, usually . Can't believe I missed it AGAIN.

IMPORTANT:

It turns out we have a "manager-less" team. 7 people joined, so Yahoo automatically added an extra team to make it an even number.

So, we have a team available if anyone wants in...the team is pretty damn good: Tom Brady, Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, Jordan Howard, Julio Jones, etc. It needs some work, especially on defense, but it's a strong roster overall. Let me know if anyone wants it!

Not that it means anything, but Yahoo gave me an A-...the highest grade in the draft!

Which probably means I'll find a way to choke...

So, for now, I have claimed the extra team. I overhauled the roster...it's a strong team. If anyone wants it, let me know!!

My strategy of taking Mahomes and the other chiefs is working pretty good so far.

Mahomes is tearing up the league! Damn!!!

Thanks to Baker Mayfield (a last minute pick-up) and Antonio Brown, I beat finskev/Dolphinkev in the Championship!! And, it was with the extra team that I "inherited"! My other team will take 4th place.

Crazy season...I was so up and down. Kev was consistently great the whole season and finished with the best overall record. Good times.
