Pro Bowl selections - two thoughts
The Dolphins have exactly one Pro Bowler: Xavien Howard. Or to put it another way, there's exactly as many Pro Bowlers currently on this roster as we let go of last season (Pouncey made it). This regime is a lot better at getting rid of talent than they are at acquiring it.
Derwin James is the starting FS. Not a knock on Fitzpatrick IMO; James wouldn't have made it here either, since Burke would have had him splitting time with Jones and McDonald.

I'm just glad SOMEBODY from this team made it.
Gotta love getting punked by the Chargers not only by Pouncey suddenly deciding to have a career season there but by them drafting a better safety 6 spots lower.

Inscription on the tombstone of this regime.
Can’t find talent. Quick to dump talent.

There's no one else even remotely close to a Pro Bowl berth. At best maybe Tunsil gets in when the 6 tackles in front of him choose not to go. Sad.

Interesting that Suh was not selected.

I'm not so sure James is better, but his coach is smart enough to just put him out there every down in his best spot. It's a concept that Burke can't seem to grasp.
