If Gase is the coach next season, I'm going to have a real difficult time following this team.

There is no way that a new GM will keep a head coach with a horrible record. Most likely Ross is leaving this decision on the GM

Gase and Tanny in 2019 Hell Yeah. We don't want to be a successful organization and make a huge playoff run. The Miami Dolphin's Fans have grown to expect the scrapes of the NFL and hope to win a handful of games and finish in the middle.

Nothing worse than putting a guy in charge of the team and sticking him with a lame duck GM and head coach that he didn't pick. It makes no sense at all, and is a pure recipe for failure. Typical Ross move.

I'm looking forward to seeing Grier make the picks all by himself. His scouting reputation with the Phins is top notch. Look at all the talent this team amassed when he was the Director of College Scouting from 2007 to 2015. He's a superstar.

Gase has final say over this roster in his contract.

If talent is the problem, that's on the guy with final say: Gase.

Let's go further: Gase is responsible for the offense, and they've ranked in the bottom 10 three years in a row now.

Gase picked Tannehill and decided to go without any kind of a safety net better than Osweiler this year.

Gase picked Jay Cutler last year.

Armando is so far off the mark on this it isn't even funny. If you keep Gase you might as well just keep em both.

At this point there is nothing worth believing until something happens.  It's been a few days and theres nothing being reported that Tannebaum was ACTUALLY  fired. Again, don't know what it is that we are waiting for.  The guy didn't lead an organization to success. unless it was to just win 7-8 games.  Salguero is right.  The NFL is not so extreme as people might think.  JMP has said it numerous times.  Super Bowl is the only measurement of progress.  Super Bowl champions is the only way to earn success. it's that simple. I think we'd have better success if Ross brought in his real estate development team to oversee the football operations.  At least they know how success is measured.

The only thing good about next week is that the season is over and i can stop paying the ridiculous price for Sunday ticket only to shut it off after the first offensive drive. Cuz at this point I would coach to lose to improve our draft spot. Not to pick higher but to get better value when we trade the pick.

That's the bottom line in any decision, Umix: are we building toward an eventual Super Bowl with the current people running the team? If the answer is "no", then stop wasting everyone's time and blow it all up. And, really, if you look at this team objectively: we shouldn't even be allowed to say "Miami Dolphins" and "Super Bowl" in the same sentence...we're not close at all.

There are other factors, of course, but important keys to a championship-caliber team are QB, OL and DL. We are below average in all those areas, with no hope of improvement (real improvement) in sight. Why stick with something that clearly isn't working???

au contraire mon ami.......this isn't a ship it's a life raft of the Tom Hanks "Wilson" variety. We are the Miami "Cast Offs" of the NFL. This is like an NFL training academy or a refresher course on how to fail in the NFL! How can a once proud franchise be so damn unlucky for 20 years?

Is that what Ross is doing or is Ross once again loss and not sure what he is doing. IMO, Ross Might as well let the team go. He can write this off his bucket list.
