As I said in another thread the Pats last season had the worst short yardage D in the league. There's literally no excuse for Carroll to not know this with two weeks to prepare. Only in today's world would Bevell still be employed--I believe as recently as the 90s he'd have been run out of the league for a call that mind-blowingly awful. In fact Billick was run out of the league in '07 for not going for it on 4th and goal from INSIDE the 1 VS the winless Fins, so yeah.
