It's Not Just Me
Remember when I cited how few QBs drafted in any given year turned out to actually have successful careers? Turns out that someone else agrees. (And no, I had nothing to do with it )

I would think the odds aren't much different at any other position. Most draft picks end up being busts or mediocre players, regardless of position.
Re: It's Not Just Me
BTW - if you extend the period to 2019, you can add a bunch of "successful" (or potentially successful) QBs to the list, including: Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott. And the jury is still out on guys like Darnold, Mayfield, Josh Allen, Haskins, etc.
Bottom line: until you have the "right" QB, keep drafting them till you do - and then keep drafting them after that to ensure that your QB room is as good as it can be.

Eggs-zactally!
Get the franchise type QB, but you cannot stop there. You have to keep looking for that next QB drafted at number 199 maybe, that turns out to be stellar.
Keep that QB pipeline full. Keep drafting and developing, and when you get a Garrapolo or a Flynn, that somebody wants to pay too much for, you unload him and start developing the next guy.
But you never let yourself get in the shape Dave Double-Dumbarse Wannstedt let the Phins QB situation get in; a complete lack of anything resembling a starter.

Hell yeah, FF. It's the most important position on the team - make it a strength.
