About 9 months ago my son told me he was buying stock in Game Stop. I don't know if you guys have followed what's taking place with the stock? Anyway the value of what he bought went up $65,000 in the last few days and some are saying that might quadruple. The kid is doing good for 26 years of age and I'm proud of all he's accomplishing at an early age.

If it goes to $1300 a share my kid will be a millionaire. Elon Musk is getting in on the action and it's bankrupting some hedge funds. Crazy times

What in the holy hell is going on with Gamestop???

Big short squeeze. Gamestop was seriously leveraged in the short sale game, like 83 percent of its stock or something crazy, by hedge fund managers (essentially betting against the stock, or rooting for it to fail). A group on Reddit identified it and said, "Hey, what if we just went and bought up all that stock and caused the price to rise." They also told people to urge their brokers not to lend their stock for shorting purposes, and voila, the hedge fund managers get beat at their own game.

Now after years of fucking the market, people, and the economy right in the ass, they're getting it in theirs (a select few) and it's wonderful. They're crying all over TV begging for regulation now. Rich always want their regs when any regular guy can make a profit too.

I hope this is the beginning of the end of speculative short sell trading in any legal capacity.
