Well, Miami's best pass rusher is out for the season.

The Phillips injury is the costliest injury of the year for us.

Without a doubt. I feel sick right now.

Workmanlike, better showing than Sunday, but not having Phillips is going to be very costly in January. I expect Van Ginkel to fill in solidly, but the margin for error is gone.
This team is TCB though up to this point. On to Washington where things appear even more chaotic than they are in New England. Glad we have some extra rest before that one now.

I remember that one because it was at the end of a 34-7 win and Brock pulled an Ed Reed and decided to just go all-out to score when it was completely unnecessary. Reed was the absolute king of doing this, even in college. And believe it or not I immediately thought it would bring bad karma VS the Bills next season...and lo and behold, it did.
Someone brought up Calvin Jackson (who I just found out is dead now ) but the only pick 6 of his career was *just* 61 yards. I remember that one too because it was on MNF VS the Steelers in JJ's first season (back when I still watched it every week) and put the Fins up 14-3 only for them to get ground down by Bettis the rest of the game and lose 24-17
The other notable pick 6 that came to my mind was T-Buc's 91-yarder to finish off the Bills in '96. I know I've told this story before but it's probably been at least a decade so here goes: My mom was at a restaurant with some friends and that game was on TV and when this happened she started screaming, "GO!!! GO!!!" right then and there For some reason I never actually saw this game but she did According to the newspaper clippings my DolFan granddad sent me this legit may have been the exact moment that caused Jim Kelly to want to retire.

Boy, he sure did turn their offense around when he cut that 3rd string RB, didn't he?
I figured the Carter Cut would cause the Jets to do the quiet quitting thing against the Bills, but I dared not hope it would keep going. If you'd told me the Jets D would score beforehand, I would've been 110% sure this was a loss. But yeah, it's obvious now that he's lost the locker room for good. They at least were fighting and scrapping before, but then Saleh's blunder took all the life out of them. I fully expect Daddy Aaron to announce over the weekend that his leg isn't nearly as healed as he thought and he'll be sitting this season out after all. For his own good of course
And yes, quiet quitting is real, google it.

Remember when everybody here except me was screaming for this team to sign him? Good times.

Watching the replay on NFL Network now, which defeats the whole point of having it on a "streaming service". God, the 2020s are so stupid...
A lot easier for me to see it now of course, knowing the outcome already

BTW anyone else hear about Amazon's usual sideline reporter Charissa Thompson last week ADMITTING to lying about what coaches said when she interviewed them at the half? I only say this because she's not working this game for some odd reason

I'm now just before the part where the Jets score, then the Fins score, all in the final minute of the half. I know it already happened and yet I still can't believe it until I see it. After this excruciatingly long ad break of course.
