Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Bengals up by 3 now after a 54 yard FG from McPherson. 2:30 left, CJ Beathard coming in at QB for the Jags. I know the Benglas D is trash, but you can't let CJ Beathard beat you! Let's go Bengwads!!!
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
A minute left and Jags are inside the 30, well within FG range. I guess we have to hope for OT.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Bengals defense held, Jags tied it at 31. 30 seconds left. Fucking Bengals.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
OT after Bengals run a bunch of short plays for no reason. Zac Taylor is a moron.
Jags get the ball first.
Jags get the ball first.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
3rd and 6, no one covers Engram. Easy 10 yard pickup for the first. Then Etienne gets 13 on a run. Bengals choking like dogs.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Beathard 42 yard bomb to Ridley, inside the 5. HOWEVER...offensive holding! Now 3rd and long.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Nice! Bengals force a punt!
Sorry for the play by play...I'm just really invested in this game...I WANT THAT #1 SEED DAMMIT!!!

Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Browning converts on 3rd and 9! I think he has over 350 yards! Approaching FG range.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
3rd down and short. Would be a 52 yard FG attempt if they don't get another yard.
Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Long delay as they review the last play. Chase was close to a first down but looked like his heel went out.
Bengals catch a break - ball moved up about a yard so now 3rd and inches!

Re: One More Win Will Do It...
It's all there for the taking for the Dolphins. Can't afford any slip-ups. LET'S FUCKING GO!!!!!

I didn't expect much but that was a Hell of an entertaining game. The result was nice too.

Re: One More Win Will Do It...
Okay first of all, once again the injuries across the league are insane. By the time the playoffs start, every team involved will be down to third stringers and random guys signed off the street at this rate I hate to see it. It's why I haven't said much about this team's injuries. Losing Baker is nothing compared to the Jags losing Lawrence. Tua is the only player the Fins absolutely cannot win without.
Secondly, this REALLY screws the Bills because now not only are they STILL behind the Bengals and Broncos, but if the Jags now fail to win the AFC South they'll be behind THEM as well! That's IF they beat what is now a pissed off Chiefs team out to prove a point. And ultimately, isn't that what's really important here?
Thirdly, if the choice is between being happy with winning the division VS going all-out the rest of the way to get the one seed that's not even guaranteed and risking even further injury, I say take it easy the final 3 games if my dream scenario happens. I know I know, the Ravens yada yada, but man oh man you'd hate to see the Fins go one and done in the playoffs because they tried too hard for seeding instead of resting people up. There are no guarantees in the postseason anyway beyond division winners playing at home in the first game. Just make sure to win the next two, period.

I hate resting the team. We always play like crap coming off the bye week. Players play better when they've stayed fully engaged.

They've won 3 straight coming off the bye. Even last season they came off the bye and...jumped on top of the Texans 30-0 at the half.
And your bye argument falls flat since they'd get one by being the #1 seed.
MAYBE after clinching the East they should try to win at Baltimore depending on how many players they have left standing, but definitely rest everybody in the finale unless a complete disaster has happened and the division/playoffs is actually on the line.
