Damn, weeks 8-17 look brutal...no throwaway games in that stretch.  Weeks 8-10...three consecutive away games - at New England, at Buffalo, at Philadelphia.  WTF???  And as usual, I hate the early bye week.  And losing a home game to play in London sucks.

But, on the plus side I love ending the season with 5 of the last 7 games at home!  And, great to see no cold games in December, and finishing home against New England instead of facing them on the road.

Probably my favorite schedule in years. I also would have liked a later bye. I have no problem playing the Jets in London. It's not like we play them well at home.

Only 2 primetime games. NFL is not expecting the Fin's to be a popular team I guess. Hope we put a hurting on the NFC East. A lot of my friends root for those teams.

Good. Tough schedule, and a perfect way to vet Philbin and Tannehill. Sink or swim boys. I'm looking forward to it.

so just how much does the NFL and the TV networks not want Miami in a position to be a national marque match-up?

Barry Jackson wrote:...on Week 3, a CBS double-header week, Bills-at-Dolphins is the only AFC game at 4:25 p.m.

wow, the Phins have a home game on the Sunday afternoon nationally televised power slot.  a re-kindling of the old Bills/Dolphins AFC championship rivalry.  shades of Bruce Smith vs. Marino, Thurman Thomas vs. umm, Marino, Jim Kelly vs. yes, Marino - oh and Marv Levy vs. Shula.  ah, but not so fast my friend...

Barry Jackson wrote:But instead of showing that to most of the nation, CBS was given a Bears-Seahawks game from Fox, which likely will be seen in much if not most of the country during that late window.

are you f'ing kidding me?!?!  they gonna hand snatch Jay Cutler across networks to keep the Phins off everybody's boob tube??  Evil or Very Mad

Well, if we want national attention, we have to earn it. Simple as that.

Although why anyone would want to watch the Seahawks obliterate the Bears when they could instead watch a heated divisional rivalry is beyond me.

EXACTLY! hey, who knows, maybe the Phins and Bills will both be 2-0 heading into that match-up and CBS will be compelled to give it national attention. although, with the Colts and NE as their first 2 games, the Bills are less likely to be undefeated than Miami.

The Fins and Bills haven't had a heated divisional rivalry in at least 15 years. I didn't even pay attention to the Bills until two years ago when they finally pissed me off by helping knock the Fins out of the playoffs right at the moment I actually had...HOPE about this team for the first time in years Evil or Very Mad

Remember, this matchup did get a Thursday nighter last season. Some of you guys are just too hard to please Razz

LOL True, Bills-Dolphins games (or any games involving the Bills or Dolphins for that matter) haven't been all that meaningful for a long time. But the Bills now look like legit playoff contenders and Rex Ryan adds some spice to the mix, while the Dolphins...signed a defensive tackle. That has to be more interesting than a Bears-Seahawks game, right???
