Game Day Fins vs Cards
Before last week I was starting to get a little excited than like usual the same ole Fins show up and get blown out of the water. Any hope of saving this season and a playoff hope they need to win today.

This is a winnable game, and there are some good matchups for us. That said, if Arizona does the 1-2-3 pass thing that Brady has done to extend his career, with our shit LBs, unless we bring pressure against their weak OL, there could be trouble.

Not even sure what teams to root for today. After last weeks loss I think the AFC East is out of the question and the 10 win teams in the west are fighting for the 5th seed so Miami is battling for the 6th. Looks like Denver, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore are the teams that have to lose and Miami needs to win. One of the two will win the north and Miami needs to stay ahead of the other 2. Last weeks loss really hurt.

Great Start. INT from Hull and great possession and TD by O.

After a great opening possession back to same old inaccurate Tanny.

I wish the D could score on one of these TO because Tannehill is a mistake waiting to happen every time he touches the ball.

Miami has the lead at the half in a sloppy game. Tanny has 2 TDs but looks awful like usual.

Has to be the rain because these TO on both sides are ridiculous.

Tanny limped off the field with a knee. He's done. Draft a QB.

Pulled out a win on a late throw from Matt NO Moore than a backup to get in FG range after they should've put the game away an hour before. Broncos lost so now see the status of Tanny.

He has been questionable for 5 years and now he has a torn ACL.

Ugly game, but a great win. Not at all what I expected from the Cardinals.
But, losing Tannehill really makes it difficult to feel good about this game. Matt Moore having to beat Buffalo (on the road) and the Pats in week 17 seems like a tall order.

Buffalo will quit and hopefully NE has home field locked up.

I'm watching the Jets right now against SF. They are down 17-6 with 7 minutes to play in the 4th, and Bowles job is in jeopardy.
We could win 1 or 2 more, but after today's showing of grit, I can still say I am proud to be a Fins fan today. Great win after losing our starting QB and weathering a Cards team trying to come from behind.

I either want the playoffs or to lose out. 9-10 wins and no playoffs is the worst possible outcome.
Was sitting in a restaurant looking at one of the TVs for the score and the first thing I saw was 'TANNEHILL INJURES KNEE, CARDS LOSE ON LATE KICK" scrolling across the screen. Figures.
We'll get to see exactly how good Tannehill is now on way or the other though, won't we?

To say that Tannehill has not improved significantly and become a much, much better quarterback under Gase is just ignoring reality at this point.

The 1st half of the season he was dreadful. He had 1 great game two weeks ago and then looked putrid last week and looked OK today until he got hurt.

Absolutely and the reaction of his team mates is telling. He is their QB.

Name another QB who had to learn 4 offenses in 5 years who thrived. BTW if it were not for drops in the Seattle game his numbers would have looked significantly better.

The league is filled with 1st and 2nd years QBs that look way better then Tanny after 5 years. All you guys keep doing is making excuses to why he isn't better and hope he can be better.

Re: Game Day Fins vs Cards
I wouldn't say the league was filled with them, man. I mean, there's Dak Prescott, Carson Wentz, and who else? QB play in this league is pretty shit. Tannehill figured a lot of stuff out this season, and it's our Phin luck that the mutha gets a knee injury, after 4 years of being the league's punching bag. No matter the hate for the kid, we all gotta agree, he's a tough SOB. Hell, even with a torn ACL (which hurts like a sonofabitch, from experience here) he essentially calmly signaled to the sideline he needed help.
Bird is totally nail-on-the-head, on-the-spot though. The reaction of the teammates . . . they believe in him. That in itself is a huge thing, and it will elevate play, that fucking "IT" factor that everyone constantly spouts off about but has no actual empirical description for.
He's better than most folks give him credit for. For fuck's sake, they've won 7 of 8 for the first time in a long god-damn time. That's not just a fluke.

I thought the Jets had just given up on the season, but apparently there's still some life in them after miraculously winning that game in OT. You can bet that they'll be jacked up to try to knock the Phins out of playoff contention. I have a feeling that game next week could be very tough for the Phins, especially with Moore at QB.
Not sure what to make of the Bills. It looks like they are closing up shop, and rumors are swirling that Rex may get the axe today. But...it'll still be a division game on the road for the Phins, on what will likely be a very cold day.
Definitely two tough games...games we should win, but it won't be easy.
