Yes, they won. The Raiders were gifted the game by the officials, and in the true spirit of Christmas, they gave it all right back to the Dolphins at the end.

A win is a win. I put it right up there with the best of Woodstrock; the 20-19 win over the Jests in 1982 that was the biggest factor in that team getting to the SB comes to mind.

Tua will be fine IMO. He's a rookie. Herbert has the big numbers and would have been a fine pick too, but it remains to be seen which QB ends up better. Fitz did a better job with the very limited set of receivers he had last night, true, but that's what veteran QB's do.

No matter what happens next week, the progress we've seen this year has been so much better than expected. I was *hoping* for 8-8. The toughness is something we haven't seen since, what, the early 80's? They don't quit, no matter who is missing.

That is a great, great memory, but no, I meant the second of the three Jests wins in 1982, the one in Miami later in the season. Strock led the late comeback and von Schaumann nailed the 50 yarder to close it out 20-19.
