Phins sign DT Adam Butler (ex-Patriot)

Another strong under-the-radar signing IMO. Butler is big D-lineman (6'5", 300) that plays mostly inside and can kick outside. Good space-eater with some pass rush ability (15 career sacks). Nice piece for the DL rotation.

Kind of interesting... Pats signed Karras and Godchaux, and we signed Butler and have our sights on Andrews. Essentially swapping players at C and DT...

Seems like Butler is very athletic and more of a fit vs. the pass than the run, so he and Davis will probably swap out depending on the situation. Very interesting. Godchaux was more of a run stopper, so Butler is actually a piece we didn't have.

FYI - Butler's contract has a max value of $9.5 million, while Godchaux's max with the Pats is $16 million.
