Is Three 500-yard Rushers Possible?
Can this team pull it off? It's only been done once in franchise history (by the '72 team of course) but is starting to happen more and more lately. The '19 49ers did it with McDaniel around, do you think it has any chance of happening this season? Discuss
Teams having at least three 500-yard rushers has happened 33 times before BTW, with the '78 Pats being the only team to ever have four. It's also happened five times since '19 (three times in that season alone).

Very interesting to consider.
I do think it's possible, but I have a feeling Edmonds is going to take charge of this backfield sooner rather than later. I'm predicting a big season for him, both running and receiving.
But IF it did happen, obviously Edmonds and Mostert would be the first two. Who would be the third? Given this scheme, I think Ahmed could emerge as the #3 back. He seems like such a natural in this offense, and I think he has better vision and cutting ability than Gaskin.

Mostert if he stays healthy.
Gaskin could do it.
Ahmed... he might but he looks smallish to me.
Probably be a few close and none over 500 I am guessing. Too many RBs in the Rb-Committee.

Nope. Not happening. Maybe if Duke Johnson was still around (sighs).
