NFL moves extra point to 15-yard line for 2015 season + more rule changes

The NFL announced the extra point will now be kicked from the 15-yard line with two-point conversions remaining at the 2-yard line. The new rule also gives the defense the ability to score two points on returns.

Very cool - I like it. Makes extra points a bit more exciting. I especially like the defense being able to score on returns:

According to the rule change, if the defense returns a blocked extra point or failed two-point try for a touchdown (i.e. on an interception), they will be awarded two points. Under the previous rule the ball was dead on a failed try.

That's awesome!

The first time the Pats miss an extra point, that rule will immediately be changed back to what it was.

And now they have a new way to cheat since blocking kicks will actually mean something. If there's a method of suddenly being able to do this on a consistent basis no other team's ever been able to by breaking the rules, Belichick will find a way.

Good thing our kicker is money. LOL

Nobody is happier about this new rule than Tim Tebow. There will be more 2-point conversion attempts now, and the Eagles will no doubt install specific packages for Tebow in those situations.
