NE gets away with tampering...again
umm, so why is this not tampering?

its a perhaps a fine line. yes, Belichick often over-praises opponents abilities leading up to a game, but as soon as he mentioned the contract - a reference to the current negotiations (or lack thereof) between Jackson and the Ravens - is that not..

this is straight from the very first page of the NFL tampering policy!!
once again, the NFL turning a blind eye to infractions from the Patriots.
“Without a doubt,” said Belichick at a recent media conference, when asked if Jackson answered questions on his ability to play from the pocket. “It’s the type of the player, the MVP type of candidate. I think he’s more than answered them. But, we’ll see what his contract is, that will answer them.”

The term tampering, as used within the National Football League, refers to any interference by a member club with the employer-employee relationship of another club...
The purpose of the NFL Anti-Tampering Policy, as it applies to tampering with players, is to protect member clubs’ contract and negotiating rights...

"We'll see what his contract is?" Sure sounds like tampering to me!
But as usual, regardless of what is written down this league has a policy of no set rules, and Goodell just does whatever the hell he wants...and that means the Patriots can do whatever the hell they want.
I'm still waiting for Robert Kraft to get punished by the league for soliciting prostitution. If Ross got caught doing that, Goodell would probably ban him. But of course, Kraft gets no punishment.

Well, for a QB who supposedly can't pass, 4 TD's today and 10 in 3 games through the air seems to indicate otherwise. He certainly gave Belicheat an eyeful close up today.
