Praying for the best, but expecting the worst. I have zero faith that this guy will turn the Dolphins around. Hope he proves me wrong.

I'm with you JMP!!!! I wanted a coach not a coordinator! We tried that route the last three times!!! It's like, when are we ever going to get it right

Watching the press conference, I think he's in way over his head. It's one thing to be a coordinator for a couple of years...it's another to be a head coach in charge of all personnel decisions. Got a real bad feeling about this one...

It's another behind-the-scenes guy elevated to the limelight. Reminds me of Philbin.

Not really. Philbins only worked with Rodgers and Rodgers wasn't bad when he came to the scene. Gase had to deal with Tebow and Cutler, and both of them weren't great.

Bleh. Meh. Feh.

Yup, I busted out all three for this one. Seemed apropos.

My issue is that did they really get the right guy or the right guy they wanted

Tebow was AWFUL under Gase...other than his ability to run and his leadership skills, he had one of the worst passing seasons ever.

And as for Cutler, as I said elsewhere, Cutler's 2015 season wasn't much different than his entire career. I fail to see what Gase did that was so extraordinary. Cutler played like Cutler, and the offense was one of the worst in the NFL.
