It’s not immediately known how much the Dolphins will save — and if he will receive any guaranteed money in 2017. But any savings will help the team as they once again plan to be aggressive in free agency.

I sure hope it's a pay cut and not an extension...we need to be able to easily cut ties with the overrated Cameron if he continues to suck.

The move will save the Dolphins $1.5 million, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez. Cameron’s salary drops from $7.5 million to $6 million. His contract will still expire after this season.

Good! Finally a move I like! Let Cameron earn his next contract.

I would've preferred to cut Cameron and give his money to Lamar Miller, but since we're keeping him this is the way to go.
