Phins sign OL Jermon Bushrod

This has disaster written all over it. Bushrod was benched last season on a crappy Bears team, and he just had shoulder surgery. Who knows when he'll be able to start working out and getting in shape AND the Phins are asking him to learn a new position.
So glad we freed up all this cap space so we could sign aging injured scrubs to compete with our own scrubs. What a fucking joke.
Bushrod, who played under Gase in Chicago last year, is 31 years old.
His challenge in his 10th NFL season is twofold: Get healthy and learn a new position.
Bushrod underwent shoulder surgery to repair a tear last month. He is expected to be ready for the start of the season.
Hopefully, he’ll have some time to learn how to play guard. He was a tackle at King George (Va.) High School. He was a tackle at Towson University. He was a tackle for the New Orleans Saints. And for the past three years, he was a tackle for the Chicago Bears.
He’ll compete with Dallas Thomas, Billy Turner and Jamil Douglas this spring. None of them played particularly well in 2015.

I doubt if he amounts to much more than a backup at this stage. Though surely just about anyone could beat out Dallas Thomas now that the head coach is no longer Philbin.

This must be Gase?
Otherwise, I am stumped?
Injured seems to be a requirement for signing with the Phins?
Egad!

What's weird is that Gase was the OC when Bushrod got benched last season...so obviously he didn't think he was very good then, because the guy that replaced him sucked too. I just don't get it.
