Twiiter streaming games?

I was pissed about that one game last year. Not on TV, but streamed over Yahoo (I think).
This whole video over tablets/phones/PCs is so three years ago. Was cool as a novelty, but (gasp!) it turns out most people are perfectly fine with their extra large, high quality hi definition TV sets and traditional live video providers (DirecTV or cable).
Oh wait I can watch on my laptop 14 inch screen?!?!?! Great!!!
I just don't get the thought here.

Well most new TV's are smart TV's with Twiiter apps included. I just got a 50" for like 400.00
While I'm not impressed or a fan of this I'm hoping it leads to a day where you can buy individual games and not be forced to be a Direct TV customer. Really Sunday Ticket is the only reason I keep direct Tv.

I love Direct TV, but I could certainly get a much cheaper TV package from Optimum if I didn't need Sunday Ticket. Would be nice to get that TV bill down...but, it is what it is.

I love Direct TV also but right now I'm paying 85 a month for Internet from Time Warner. If I get cable from Time Warner, I get internet AND TV for 80 bucks a month! Stupid right?

Yep, when I see how much I could save by switching, I do feel like an idiot...but I'm a slave to the NFL!
Re: Twiiter streaming games?
I live with someone who absolutely HAS to watch local news for 30 minutes every morning, otherwise I'd ditch DirecTV for a combo of Hulu, Netflix and Amazon for $30 a month or so.
And no, I don't get everybody's fascination for watching things on tiny hand-sized screens either. Especially since every time I've tried it on my tablet the video looks/loads like shit, and I wind up just watching it on the PC instead.

This is what it's all leading to.
I think just like paying per minute for long-distance, the cable companies are about to be forced to drop their prices in a major way. They're already starting to try and damage control by using bundling and bandwidth limitations (a la AT&T/DirecTV).
