The Fins sure do love them some injured players, don't they? SMH.
I used to think it was just a Hickey thing but he's gone and the love is not.

Good no-risk move. If he gets healthy, he could help us.
Liked him a lot at Oregon, before the injury. He may never get healthy, but if he does, we could have a future starter, albeit an undersized one.

I'll be shocked if he ever sets foot on the field. Another in a long line of "gee, I really hope this guy that's always hurt and never plays pans out" moves, instead of signing players that can actually, you know, play. The roster now resembles a hospital ward more than it does a football team.
I also love how "big cornerbacks" has been the mantra this offseason, and now we sign a 5'9" corner that may never even play.
Just keep throwing shit at the wall. Eventually something may stick...but it'll still be shit.

All teams are going to have 90 players in Camp, No big deal with bringing him in for a Look and see if He is Healthy, He would have been a 1st or 2nd Rd pick before he blew his knee out in Championship game again TOSU.

I'm not so sure he would've gone that high in the draft. He's a small corner that can't tackle - probably destined to be a slot corner. I get that it's not a big deal to sign him, but I'm just hoping the Phins don't view him as some sort of a solution.
Re: Dolphins sign CB off waivers
I read Nawrocki's scouting report on him from 2015 guide. Interesting prospect. Plays pretty physical, they projected him as very heavy participant on special teams also.
Hope the guy gets healthy, would at least like to see him play some.

Steelers, Bills, Saints also put in claims for him:

Not sure how good that is suppose to sound but all I know is if his knee isn't better than Miami just wasted their time. If he comes out and be one of the top corners then good for them

When you wiff on draft picks, Davis and Taylor, you're forced to roll the dice. I'm not expecting much, but applaud the move.

Well said right there. I think most agree, the restraint we have shown in free agency this season along with the minor roster tweaks done so far will mean nothing if we do not start drafting much, much better.
I applaud the approach in avoiding the big-money free agency splash, but this only works if we start making serious hay with our draft classes.

Re: Dolphins sign CB off waivers
According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Saints, Bills and Steelers also put in waiver claims for the former seventh-rounder from Oregon.
Ekpre-Olomu suffered a torn ACL in December 2014 and didn’t play last year. But the Browns elected to waive him from the non-football injury list, because they weren’t sure he’d be able to hold up for the year based on what they saw on an MRI. Other teams might view the tests results differently.
He was once considered a top prospect, and if he isn’t well enough to contribute, the Dolphins aren’t out much. And the fact that several other teams were interested suggests that they thought so too.

Re: Dolphins sign CB off waivers
The fact that the Browns don't think his knee will hold up is a huge red flag. They know more about him than anyone, and they weren't willing to even bring him to camp at a minimal salary.
Low risk move for Miami for sure, but I'm just sick of the constant sifting through other teams' trash.

meh...
Same ol'Phins.
Can't draft, and have to hope, by some miracle, that they get a good player.
This team blows chum chunks.
