No arm + low level of competition in college = wasted pick. So many quality developmental QBs in this class, and the Phins passed on all of them to take a guy that will likely never take an NFL snap.

Fins passed on Tyler Matakevich and Scooby Wright for this guy.

Tannegobber has no arm, no accuracy, and was a WR in college. Doughty starts week 1

While I disliked the draft as a whole, due to the pointless trading of future and present picks, I liked Doughty as a good value.

No, odds are against him making it, but he improved every year at Western Kentucky and was also coached by Jeff Brohm. Arm strength a concern, but he's accurate. He's worth taking a chance on in round 7.

And at least Miami might finally start drafting developmental QB's like New England does, like Green Bay did and like it appears Oakland is starting to do (McKenzie worked for Green Bay previously). Keep taking chances and you can parlay some of these QB's into picks later.

Doughty was known to pretty much only wear Miami Dolphin gear on campus at WKU. So cool to draft a dude who is a such a huge Dolphins fan. Doubt he makes it but I'll be pulling for him. I'm a fan.

As much as I like Doughty, I would have preferred Vernon Adams.

Yep, me too. And Sudfeld, Hogan and Drsikel were late-round prospects that I liked.

I guarantee you the only reason the Fins took him is because they found out he used to live practically right down the street from the team facilities.

Seems like a camp body and nothing more. Oh well, who expects a 7th rounder to pan out anyway? It's not like this team just traded three picks to replace a WR they drafted in the 7th a few years back, right?

Here's my take: If he can oust Matt Moore, it's a hugely successful pick Wink

Good luck with that. Who do you think Dallas Thomas got his pictures of Ross with farm animals from?

Ross wanted to buy the Jets.  The league told him no.  He still wanted a team.  Goodell told him he could have the Dolphins, but he would have to ruin the franchise so they could be later moved to London.  Ross agreed.

I've been saying that for awhile now Wink

No farm animal pictures required, just be terrible at what you do.

that is true but like was said before he never really played against true competition. Even if he played in college the Sun Belt is more like FCS status

Conference USA.

We will see how it shakes out. One pick that I liked. He's smart and he's accurate, so he has a chance.
